Howdy Lodge. Checking in to say hi. Had a bit of a medical emergency on Monday. Called 911 and was taken by ambulance to Mass General. Bad abdominal paid that came with a severe headache, all in about 10 minutes. Then I think it morphed into a bit of a panic attack as my breathing was labored. But everything was normal - oxygen level, heart rate, pulse, EKG. Was in the ER for 8 hours. Had a CT scan. Found nothing. I'm better but my head is still foggy, like I was in an accident and had a concussion. Which I've never had. It's really weird. I'm thinking all of this is a result of a reaction to the prednisone I've been taking for a pinched nerve. I'm done with it so I want to wait another day or so till it clear my system. I do need to follow up with my PCP as well. Gah! It sucks getting old.
At our age its better to be safe than sorry.

Hope you're feeling normal soon (with the playoffs starting that may not be possible).

It sucks when all of these people much younger than me say they are getting old.

Hi Lodge. Happy Friday. Still feeling the effects of headaches. Going to my PCP's office later today to see...someone. A PA, I think. Which, fine. Feeling a little better this morning. Hope it continues. I need to run out this morning to pick up my car from the garage I parked it in because the weather forecasted for overnight last night said rain/snow/freezing rain/whatever and I'm not in the frame of mind to clear off my car. Of course, not much happened where I live.

It's Clinique Bonus Day...I mean - today is the day our bonuses are announced. I'll probably have to use all of mine to pay for the trip to the ER!

Greetings from the *HT. Big siiiigh.

Was feeling worse overnight into this morning. I got a new med, but had to wait 24 hours after taking my current headache med. I had taken it early Friday morning, felt good all day Friday. Overnight a raging headache came back, because I wanted to take the new med this morning when I picked it up, I took two Tylenol about 4am. Did nothing. So at 6am I took my current headache med. It helped but had residual headache pain most of the day. I can’t take the new med till about 7:00 tomorrow morning. I hope I make it through the night. Going to take two Tylenol now.

Day 2 of the new med. I did feel better throughout the day yesterday after Day 1. This med isn't fast acting that's for sure. But I hope it's that I need to get it in my system to work completely.

HHT! On to a QF game in Connecticut. A game I will not be attending.

So, went to see a headache doctor this morning. Interestingly enough this morning was the first morning in nine days I didn’t feel the need to take meds. He prescribed some new ones that I probably should have picked up on my way home from the game tonight but I was tired. Will pick them up on my way to work.
