Howdy Lodge. Hope everyone's summer is going well! I hate that it's almost over.

Any. Way. Last month I had my annual eye exam. Determined it was time for bifocals (I tried progressives once - could not get used to them). My far away vision worsened more than my close vision for which I have prescription readers. However in addition to the bifocals, I did get a new pair of prescription readers, I use them when I work so I can see my computer. Yesterday, however, I forgot those and only had my bifocals at the office. You should have seen me trying to work. I had to lift the glasses up my nose so I could see with the reader part. And had to hold my head back so naturally I got a crick in my neck. I left mid afternoon because the eye strain was pretty bad. Had to take a couple of Advil when I got home. And the first thing I did was put my readers in my pocketbook so that did not happen again. Sucks getting old!!

Good morning Lodge. Happy Monday. I’m currently on vacation on Cape Cod. Having a girls weekend with some long time friends, one of which has a house here on the Cape. Been here since Thursday. One of the my friends is someone we all haven’t seen in many years as she lives in Florida. While it’s been wonderful to see her, she tends to sleep late in the morning, plus she’s gluten free so it has been a challenge with regards to meals. It’s 9:45am right now and my friend, whose house we’re staying at, and I are sitting around waiting for this friend to wake up. I’m starving. I want to go out for breakfast. But she need to get up soon as some places stop serving breakfast soon.

Also, a cousin of hers is supposed to come and pick her up tomorrow and the weather is going to be really nice tomorrow so I want to go to the beach. So depending on timing on her getting picked up, I’m going to go on my own. Because it’s my vacation too and I came down here to go to the beach. It’s been a bit annoying.
