Good afternoon Lodge.

The weather and politics of Texas are getting to my brother & his family. They are looking to move. At first I was excited as Chicago area was on the list of possibilities and that would make it an easy drive for me to visit for a weekend. Now it sounds like they've settled on the Seattle area. If the 3 hour flight to Houston wasn't bad enough for me, now it'll be further and longer. :( I'm sad that I haven't gotten to see my niece and nephew much, but now I think I'll see them even less.

The next question will be what will my parents do? They like their retirement community in TX, but will have no reason to stay there once my bro leaves. I'm kind of angry that they are considering following my brother again instead of moving back to MI. The twin grandkids (bro's kids) will be teenagers next year, the other grandbaby (wT baby) is 2. That the decision isn't easy for my parents makes me angry. They already followed bro once, they each still have siblings in MI.

Sorry wT. Family is not easy.
Having people over for lunch. Trying new recipes- Israeli couscous salad. We are going to be on the porch and deck. Most of my serving things more posh. Will be interesting mix of mason jars and casual/ Spode stuff.

Might as well say it now. Officially retired. Not gonna go the Marcus Allen Route, or Joe Namath Route, etc. Time to delete the USCHO bookmark. Either you know where to find me, or you know someone who does. It's been a grand time, and now it's time to say goodbye to this particular world. Peace, all.

Sorry to hear, but understand the choice. Many of us are not here as much as we used to be. I miss a lot of the older posters (and by older I mean, have been posting here for 2 decades).

Why? The interface has worked very well lately.
