So they're ditching the skating cardinal? I understand the desire for uniformity, but the skating cardinal is classic. I hate to be a critic but I'm not really a fan, looks like the cardinal logo for every other school with a cardinal mascot.

For what it's worth, I thought the women's jerseys looked really sharp last night.

Let's see if they parlay that into some momentum within SUNY.... otherwise the success at Primelink doesn't mean much. They need to start winning league games...

Wally - Ever make a trip back to Ithaca? The Big Red are having a good season. I enjoy working here in Ithaca!

What is going on with the Cards?? You win the Primelink tourney and now this. Is it the new Cardinal? Did Emory forget to bring back a bottle of Vermont water? There is to much talent for this to be happening. I am sure things will be different next week.

May be a replay of last year,slow start then watch out??..Didnt see the game,were they outplayed or did the goaltending give out??

Get thru Ithaca now and then, usually a traffic jam exists unfortunately. Been a loooong time since I've been at a Cornell game I'm sorry to say.

Cards picked up a D1 transfer. Andrew Pizzo, a 6-2 sophomore who played for Niagara.

Plattsburgh (9-8-0), though, was without head coach Bob Emery behind the bench.

After Plattsburgh's 6-2 loss to Williams Saturday, Emery was involved in an on-ice verbal confrontation with an official.


Emery and Plattsburgh’s athletic department mutually agreed that he serve a self-imposed suspension Tuesday.

Emery may face more disciplinary action, pending an investigation by the SUNYAC.

Looks like he is suspended for the games against Brockport and Geneseo.

I'd love to know what he said to deserve 3 games. I've certainly seen coaches animated in their discussions with officials before. 3 games seems like a harsh penalty.

Last year Krug from Adrian threw his clipboard at the ref and was suspended one game, that was during a brawl on the ice his team started.
