Providence at Vermont
Dave’s pick: Catamount fans may be unhappy with me picking against their team all the time, but that isn’t going to change with the Friars involved.
PC 3, UVM 2
Jim’s pick: Agreed. I’m a big Vermont fan this season but I think Providence is a top two or three team in Hockey East.

Saturday:
Providence at Vermont
Dave’s pick: I wouldn’t be surprised at all if the Catamounts salvage a split. They did it to Notre Dame and they can do it to Providence. But I’m tossing my lot with the Friars (knowing that Jimmy is going to disagree with me on this series).

Jim’s pick: And Dave is wrong. I’m not picking against Providence right now. This team is playing excellent hockey.

I was really hoping they'd at least pick UVM to win a game. Ah well...

Josh Monk is playing left wing tonight on a line with Mauermann and Luke. I saw Monk play the 1st game of the season and his only game of the season to this point as a dman. No other forwards are available?

Maybe they think he is the best winger from the scratches...I think Drew Brown should be playing more but what do I know. DeJersey gives them ZIP!

Why not keep Monk in the lineup? He played on the top line on Fruday with Luke and Mauermann as the LW according to the box and got an assist on Mauermann's second goal!

Monk played defense all game. PC went with 11 forwards and 7 defensemen due to a one of them being a bit under the weather. A gritty road win...things will be tougher tonight
