Re: PC - A new start and a new venue

PC got some love from John Buccigross today on Twitter...

Think that's the first time I've ever seen PC higher than BC...

Re: PC - A new start and a new venue

Awesome to see PC that high. Should be a solid year with another year of growth for their young guys. Expecting big jump from Jankowski

Re: PC - A new start and a new venue

The start of the season cannot come fast enough for me.

Re: PC - A new start and a new venue

Nice to see PC ranked 15th in the preseason USA Today Poll http://www.uscho.com/rankings/usa-today-mens/ and fifth in the HEA preseason poll. It gives the team respect for how far the program has come but is a reminder there is a ways to go. Netman, what poll were you citing a couple of weeks ago? Should be an interesting season. We're are still planning to catch up with the team in Colorado Springs in January. Hope some of you can make the trek.

Re: PC - A new start and a new venue

Thanks for sharing '13! I don't really like the placement of the HE logo under the strings but I really like the rest. Not meaning to nitpick. I may be in the minority but I like numbers on the front a la the Sabres et al. Then again Copperalls was fine with me too. :)

Re: PC - A new start and a new venue

Anyone have pics of renovated Schneider? I'm very curious to see the interior; I drove by a couple times this summer and was very impressed with the outside.

Are you guys trying to drive Brown out of town with this beautiful new arena?! Cut it out! We still haven't gotten new seats since Meehan opened. ;)

I don't think they changed the bowl that much...Looks similar to me from the background on the women's hockey pics with luxury boxes.

I assume the bulk of the facelift was done to the concourse then? It looks like they added a big area where the side door used to be (the one youth league teams go in through).

Re: PC - A new start and a new venue

I have seen it from the outside. The side where the youth hockey teams used to come in is now where the snack bar is and looks like the entrance will be. Looks nice with a bunch of TVs around to see the game if you are grabbing snacks. I've hear the boxes are really nice.

Re: PC - A new start and a new venue

Wow, looks like it'll be terrific. Can't wait for the Mayor's Cup!

I wonder if Brown will see the need to refurbish Meehan in order to remain competitive in the local market. The concourse was built in 2003, but the actual rink and the stands could use a re-do.

Mark Divver takes Projo readers on a tour:

With photos at:

It is interesting that the photos I have sen do not show the side of the rink where the work has been done. The article says the grand opening is this weekend. Who is invited? Man, I am out of touch .

They are having a event tonight for $30 a head and the women's team has an exhibition tomorrow night.
