That was all because of Backes incredible read to rush to the point and keep that puck in.

Orpik pinched, looked like he went a little too deep...and Backes got to the vacated position and Drury was there to collect the garbage.

This team is playing the system perfect right now...Norway has no answer for anything USA does :)

Yea. There were two stones of concern on the board. The US stone in back of the T-line between the 4ft and the 8ft ring (which had been on the ice since nearly the beginning of the end) and the Dutch stone just "north" of the button, which was their last shot. No guards, just a couple random US stones way out to the side. Schuster hits the Dutch stone head on, hitting the US stone head on. Schuster's last throw ended in the middle of the 4ft ring and the Dutch stone was also in the 4ft ring, but easily (and I mean by nearly half a foot) closer.

Another ****-poor throw by Schuster means that they go from 3-1 to 0-4 and out of medal contention.

Our PP is terrible. Of course it doesn't help when Parise and Kane have stone hands for what would have been tap ins.

Those two have to ramp up considerably or the US isn't going to do much better than the list I saw this morning with them at 5th.

Yeah the #1 unit had 2 easy chances on perfect cross ice passes and Parise and Kane just did nothing with them. They need to go to the "Gordon Bombay School of Receiving a Pass" :D

I wonder if we'll see the alternate Plys for the curling team. From his Twitter he is "ready" for France.

I think they will do better than 5th, in fact I think they may win Bronze but unless everyone is playing at the level some of the lower line guys are they have no chance at beating Canada.

The Johnson boys seem to be struggling a bit on D as well...
