Paris Under Attack....the hell?

Re: Paris Under Attack....the hell?

The U of M just posted this for football games;

So you can't even bring a seat cushion or camera bag anymore despite the bleachers being ridiculously cold and hard. Hey, now lets force your *** onto the hard, cold metal bleachers unless you fork over extra dough. What a load of BS.

Or a camera case? Yeah, I haven't seen a camera case that isn't thinner and less concealing than a camera would be. A friggin camera would be more dangerous than the bag. This policy is a bunch of reactionary, ill thought out garbage.

You guys up there are behind the times. ;) Penn State's had the clear bag policy in effect at all venues for the past 3 years. Season ticket holders, especially the older ones, are still seriously POed.

Re: Paris Under Attack....the hell?

It's a dumb policy. The old people get it because they are more pragmatic.

Young people are dumb.

Last I heard on the radio this morning was that over 120 hostages were taken and around 80 were now safe. The news blurb on the radio did not state what happened to the remaining 40+ hostages.

Re: Paris Under Attack....the hell?

That could be one of the greatest instances of whoosh ever.

Is Bevin just playing the card cynically because he thinks his audience is stupid, or did he honestly not understand the point of the cartoon?

He's looking for cheap political points in any way, shape or form that he can.

Normally I would think so, but some of these guys have the IQ of a door stop. If you dropped this story onto Freep, Townhall, HotAir or RedState at least half the posters would not get it even after it was explained.

Governors themselves may not be particularly bright, but they usually have capable advisors to steer them into the best way to make political hay. Even if Bevin is as dense as a London fog, he's going to have either sought out or happily taken in party-approved political advisors. After all, how many politicians above the level of state legislators are the actual people behind the posts to their Twitter accounts? Not many.

All good points.

The only time I went to London the air quality was excellent. I wonder if their "fog" (i.e., carbon monoxide) has gone the way of industrial jobs in white countries?

Would you prefer Beijing Fog?

Re: Paris Under Attack....the hell?

I like how those were the two finalists for the 2022 Winter Olympics.

The Olympic committee wants to ensure that all future athletes get to enjoy the same opportunity as the crew teams down in Rio this coming summer.

If I can have the mining contract.

The key to that image.

Check out this pic of Almaty. it looks like it's under water.

Oh, and the highest AQI of all time? 1,986.

Also, next time some idiot wants to shut down the EPA, show them this. Stupid gubmint!!!

Since you brought up this tangent- China is in the process of rapidly changing their emission laws. They will surpass the EU in pretty short order in terms of car emissions allowed.

Just sayn.
