One small correction:

They enter the Frozen Four as winners of seven straight and it has come against top-flight competition as in that stretch they have defeated Plattsburgh twice, Geneseo twice, Potsdam, Fredonia, Babson and Bowdoin.

Oswego didn't beat Genny twice. Oswego is 1-2 against them this year. Other than that, a great preview.

Dont know much about the pionters except from what I have read, they seem to have solid netminding and play both ends of the ice....that said so does all 4 teams in the tourny,unless their is a totally dominant team in the tourny,these games come down to hustle,heart,special teams, and yes a bad bounce or goalie interference call....I think these games will be hard fought and clean,discipline will win a game as well.....as for Oswego we have great depth as well, the 4th line coach Gosek has assembled is dynamite and he is not afraid to roll 4 alllllllll game which i think has had a lot to do with Oz beating Bowdin in the third and beating babson all game long.If the defense can handle what i think will be a very aggressive forecheck and Zman stands his ground we will do just fine.

We will take the underdog roll for sure as you said has been pretty good so far,one thing I am sure is Eau Claire will not repeat,gotta b in it to win it...

Yup, UWEC = Midwest nice. And we also strongly believe in following NCAA policy of DIII fairness, so it's someone else's turn this year. We ended our season winning another championship so we got that going for us.

well thats what everyone is saying,SNC is the favorite,but if they are not TOTALLY dominant, they can be beat with the mentioned hustle,hearttttt special teams,and a bounce or call hear or there,as as the favorite ya never want to keep the game close and let the underdog stay in the game and let the aforemention bounce or call bite ya in the @$#%%..48hrs and counting

Don't do this. It's the seccesion speech before the game. Both East teams have earned this and are formidable opponents. Any given day.

Eau-Claire had a lot of luck on their side in last years final four which plays a huge part in a one and done tournament. If Oswego or Geneseo can get that kind of luck then I think they have a really good shot at it. The Western region is a stronger region than the East because there are less teams to dilute the talent pool both in D1 and D3. Their style of play, banging bodies, playing in front of nets, screens etc. lends itself to good playoff results. Western teams are built to win these types of tournaments. The Eastern recruiting hotbeds are more about stick skills and organic flowing hockey which doesn't always match up well with the jackhammer style the West teams use.

Speaking of diluted talent pools, I wonder what effect allowing Major Junior players to play college without penalty would have on the college hockey landscape. I know it won't happen and I know a lot of the guys that exhaust their Junior eligibility aren't that great but it would add a lot of players to the recruiting pool.

I'm not conceding anything yet, I actually picked Oswego to beat point in the SUNYAC pick-em mostly because Oswego is a very hott team right now winning their last 7 games against very tough opponents, Point is 3-2 in their last five games and had some time off.

I'm really hoping Geneseo picks off SNC, that would be great, I know their working on a specific game-plan against SNC, I just hope its effective.

It had better involve scoring one of the first two goals. Go down 2-0 against SNC and they're not going to like what happens next, regardless of last week's results.

I thought Geneseo had the perfect game plan for the first 30 minutes. They attacked repeatedly. However around the mid point St. Norbert began to exert their will and the rest of the game was played at the pace that they could dictate play.
