Oswego vs. Amherst: Where's the thread?

Re: Oswego vs. Amherst: Where's the thread?

Just enjoyed watching Oswego/Amherst and the battle between what must be 2 of the best goaltenders in the country. I new LaRose was outstanding but the Oswego goalie was almost as good. Well played game between 2 very good teams, I thought the Amherst student section made the msot noise of any fans at the tournament.

Since he got the win and had many more saves; Wouldn't that make him better? At least for this game!

Hare plays great and controls the rebounds very very well. I don't konw if he necessarily got snubbed for AA, the guys rated ahead of him in the SUNYAC were Cadeux from Platty and Carr from buff state, I've watched Carr play and he is very good as well. I'd say its a toss-up between these 3 goalies on any given night and the difference maker is the teams in front of them.

I said watching this game I think whoever wins this will walk away national champions at the end, hopefully my prediction holds true.

Almost as good? Sorry but Hare outplayed LaRose in that game and he is the reason they are playing for a national championship and not Amherst.

thought both played well, a lot of the Jeffs shots were from the side and long range until the end of the game.......both top notch goalies

Both goalies played very well, but I don't think you can make a case that either one outplayed the other. Yes, Amherst had the big shots edge, but for most of the first two periods Oswego had the higher quality shots/chances. Amherst had the edge in play the last half of the 3rd and ot. Neither of them gave up what could be classified as a soft goal. There is just no way to say one guy outplayed the other.
