Oswego State Lakers 2025-26...Let's Take it up a notch.....

I have no problem calling a tight game as long as it goes both ways. My main problem is not that we took so many penalties but Cortland was also doing similar things but they kept getting away with it. You can blame the lakers for not adjusting to a tightly called game and blame for refs for calling a very one sided game.
 
Surely ur talking about the club lacrosse season where they're #8 in the ncll d2 preseason poll (I may or may not have been on the club lax team during my time at oz sorry shameless plug)
 
A wins a win, skated well and finished plays, still many pucks bouncing off the boards.......Let's call it the start of a winning streak :p :p :p ...Genny took 2 from The U this weekend and Hbart took out Cortland 4-3,the red Dragons scored 3 in the 3rd to make it a close one....p.s. well deserved Hat Trick for Vassallo,he gets the team MVP award along with Baker as far as I am concerned for the season...

2 seed is clinched per the SUNYAC website. Cortland and Skidmore seem to have the 3-4 seeds locked up. Given buff state and fredonia are currently 7 and 8 and they have to go up against us and Hobart this week odds were gonna play one of those teams 2 times in a 4-5 day span

2 pretty close games vs Buff and Freddy,take a few shifts off and we will have a tough night of it, this weekend and in the playoffs....
 
So the boys are locked in @ #2 regardless of what happens this Saturday, and have to play for their NCAA playoff lives in the SUNYAC through two rounds to win in Geneva by some miracle (if some SUNAYC sap wants to topple Hobart in the meantime, I will livestream me eating a hat).

I'll air it now - Oswego State were on the precipice of carrying a legitimately strong at-large versus Naz a couple weeks back. If the Lakers kept their part for that game and the SUNYAC games since, they would not have had to beat the 3x natty champs to get back to the NCAAs. I call this a massive disappointment. Oz should have beaten Naz, Canton and CORT, and the SOS would have been tremendous.

Lakers: we WANT YOU BACK!!! The city, the Blue Line club, the fans, even the pointless shlubs like me that fly a stupid custom flag for you guys in west bum-eff Ohio, WE WANT OSWEGO BACK! STEP UP!
 
46 yrs ago tomorrow, in sleepy Lake Placid, The Miracle occurred…it will take more than one to get through to the Cooler…and a few more to get past Bart…this season went from a great ride with great promise to a teaching moment for the youngsters…and their older brothers…one game at a time

yes a whole bunch of should have could haves, now, at least we know exactly what we have to do....and I also have a Oswego flag I just bought a few months ago to fly at our LBI,N.J. beach house, my buddy who's family owns the house with our family ,also an Oz grad, roomed with him in Onondaga for 2 yrs....Let's Go Lakers!!!!!

By the end of the game I had to double check and make sure this wasn't the Wednesday playoff game. Bunch of cheap shots and dirty crap from buff state tonight. A few guys in the rows ahead of me noticed buff state only dressed 15 skaters, and scratched their top 6 scorers and starting goalie so this seemed like the plan from to start to get under our skin. It might've worked if they hadn't lost by 5 goals. Hopefully the team stays pissed and curbstomps them again on Wednesday. Overall a good weekend and they don't flat going into the playoffs. Yes pray for a miracle that someone ends this streak this year.
 
Yes I noticed their bench was very lite, not sure why they would do that,I would want all my healthy players on the ice and ready to go for the playoffs....3 wins in a row ,not bad to enter the playoffs scoring goals and stopping them as well...4 ppgs very nice...Buff st coach lost control of his players, not good for the team.....Ok lets see what happens Wed night...Let's Go Lakers!!!!!...p.s. WTOP girls did a TOP job last night as well.....:):):)

Agreed, on the PXP and color were two players from the Oswego womens team
 
Apparently your SID or social team got confused and thought the women were the ones hosting Buff State on Wednesday.

I can't attach it here but you can see it on my post on the women's forum, Oswego made and posted a graphic with the wrong team in action.

Add to this--Buff State HC sitting his top scorer (and others apparently), looking uninspired wearing a hoodie behind the bench on our senior night. These guys always play chippy when the talent isn't there. They had at least 1 DQ last game. I say we hang another 6 on them and shuffle them back to.....

Dont forget they swept us in the regular season last year. They are streaky this year but everyteam brings their a game for the playoffs.
 
There was a Facebook post today remembering the 2014 exhibition game Oswego played against the USA Hockey Under 18 team. The USA team included Tage Thompson, Charlie McAvoy, Austin Matthews, and Mathew Tkachuk. I remember that October game!

Lakers won 5-3
