Oswego State Lakers 2025-26...Let's Take it up a notch.....

What is up with the Lakers letting in goals in the first minute of the periods??? 3 in the last 6 periods. Does the puck dropping mean anything else than play hockey. Besides that i was surprised to see Manzi in goals. I thought coach would have started Milberg. Maybe Friday.

Man DIII I have NO IDEA whaat is going on btw the pipes??? But they had better get it straight asap.....Falling behind again is not a good trend, and the net minding has not been to good to start so the combo is a recipe for disaster....Just curious have we ever won a shootout??? Last night our first three contestants didnt even get a shot offo_Oo_Oo_Oo_O,let's not leave it to that anymore.....Let's take 2 this weekend and get back to business after that....Let's Go lakers !!!!!
 
i remember beating elmira in the shootout after that 0-0 tie last year. other than that, i think weve lost every shootout from the ones weve had previosuly in our new years tournament to the one we had last night. once again though manzi struggles against one of the better teams in d3 (naz is 25 in the NPI). did the defense help him out once again not really but we how many times are we gonna say that when the race for those at large bids is to tight. save the kid for the lesser competition and let the other 2 handle the bigger games.
 
also somehow that tie still keeps us at #4 in the NPI. considering i highly doubt weve move up with a win and it was non-conference im happy with the result.
 
Did Manzi did let in 2 which he should have had. But the D didn't cover their man. I really don't care who starts up front but on D gotta start Baker and his partner.

Well that game was one hell of a wet fart. Hopefully next week they got 2 easy games to bounce back with let me go check the schedule real quick NOPE ITS HOBART AND GENESEO WHO ONLY PLAY 1 GAME EACH THAT WEEKEND.
 
What a terrible 3 game stretch going 1-1-1 and they are lucky with the tie. What is going on with the goalies??? None of the are good now. McCarthy first goal he looked like he floundering on the ice. Second goal he just missed a soft ball. I think it was going slower than yours Drafty at Hamilton against Herbert many many moons ago. Milberg let in 2 softies Friday. Only God knows who will start Friday against Hobart.
Congrats to Canton beating us and Cardinals on our ice this season. Maybe a stepping stone for their program.

Out skated. Out played. Painful to watch. Perhaps this is the wake-up call they need for the big tests next weekend? Let’s hope Eddie and the sheriff game get the boys ready for battle…also need the student section to be loud and proud. Go Lakers.

Canton was a tough out for Hobart on Friday night, although the score did not reflect it. The upset of Oswego should get The Lakers up for The Cooler contest this weekend. Can't wait for the game.
 
Nice job Canton first time EVER beating the Lakers,and they earned it...Yes DIII the net minding has been less than spectacular to say the least, many soft goals,I watched the Rangers let up a softie the other night and they put up a stat that the team that lets in a softie loses 73% of the time.....we lost many puck battles and they looked like they really wanted it,cant go to the comeback well to many times.....lets hit the net or at least the goalie with the puck, to many shots going off the glass and/or marking up those nice boards at the Campus Center....I will say Pringle on Canton was very chippy :p :p :p :p ....Not sure how any of those point ranking go, but that was a bad loss for a at large bid I would imagine????....Let's have a good week practice and get ready for a BIG weekend......DIII my double OT goal vs Hamilton was a rocket that blasted the water bottle off the net to send us to the championship game.....or not:cool::cool::cool::cool::cool:
 
Feeling confused the morning after seeing our Lakers being taken down by Canton. The truth is Alex Boak the Canton Coach put a plan together and his team executed. We forget they were 4 and 0 beginning of the season when they took down I believe Trine who was ranked 4th at that time. We watched our Lakers being outplayed all night. This was more than issues with our goalies. We failed regarding basic fundamentals like face offs and not finding a way to stop a very aggressive F Check . Is there a deeper well to draw from the balance of the season, hopefully this young team gets back to where they were at the end of last season we can only hope
 
That is something I noticed every game we didn't win this year the other team fore checked the crap outta us. Maybe the secrets finally out u wanna beat us just pressure us and we fold.
