you know it buddy, walked out of the volleyball gym about 2 lengths of hose worth and the rink is right there, pretty cool....hope alls well...p.s. we have the SUNYAC semi finals volleyball Friday at 4pm in Cortland,then jumping in the car to make the Platty game, you going???...then back down to Cortland for the Championship game the next day..also going to the Genny game Friday night should be a good one, then to Geneva for a volleyball double header......Let's Go Lakers!!!

ugh my wife actually had on her Oswego jacket at the volleyball game the other day in Cortland ,thought I may have to drop the gloves:oops: :oops: :oops: ...dont think anyone noticed...Let's go Lakers!!!!
 
What a game especially for the backup (who may not ne the backup much longer if he continues to do this). Not too sure about the sog total though i could just be wrong but it felt like he covered EVERY puck that came near his crease whether it was an actual shot, a bounce off the boards or in one case taking it directly from one of our defensemen and those counted as "saves" and "sog". In terms of high scoring chances it felt pretty even. Still Milberg kinda fell off towards the end of the regular season last year so having 2 goalies that can get u a win vs anybody should be a big help this year.
 
What a way to start off the season with a win at Genny. I didn't think McCarthy had it in him but great for him. Hopefully no let down tonight.

We haven't beat these guys in forever it seems, yellow helmets for the win, Coach favors a hot goalie-- McCarthy starts tonight?
 
Hot take......I dont like the yellow helmets with the regular jerseys they look to much like clarkson. They would look amazing with the retro jerseys though. If they keep winning though Id rather look like clarkson than lose.
 
A really good first weekend of the new season. Manzi looked good between the pipes. Don't know what's up with Milberg but he diffently has some competition for the starting job. A tough weekend next week. Skidmore sorta of haves our number.

Agreed. It's possible he's dealing with some sort of illness/injury or some sort of internal discipline because he is a good goalie who led us to a sunyac title and has some very impressive wins under his belt. Going from 1st to 3rd in one semester based purely with on ice performance doesn't seem likely given his resume. Gotta disagree with the Skidmore take though. We're 3-1 all time against the and the only loss was at their place with that stupid Olympic sized sheet.
 
I don't ever remember Coach starting two different goalies to start the season. As said, both looked good. OZ looked a bit tired last night; i'm sure the Genny game ( and especially the 3rd period of that game) took it out of them. Yellow helmets for the win. I believe they were regular issue in the 80's-90's? Maybe CIR or DIII has a better memory than me can weigh in.

Well that was one great game in Genny,first off we must have had at least 75 Oz fans in the place, very nice.....The yellow buckets looked good to me, and did I mention what a game...As for SOG's,yea many pucks seemed to be cover-ups but hey the kid played very well, not sure what the situation is with Milberg,but as far as net minders,let's get ready to rumble....thats a good thing....I liked our forecheck ,when we did it, some times well failed to send 2 men deep, like the last half of the 3rd period was all in our end, no forecheck, kind of like the prevent defense in football, thankfully it did NOT prevent us from winning...we looked fast and took the body well, but Genny is BIG and they crashed the net, our D is small and it showed IFO the net.....missed the Bport game, driving home from volleyball, in Geneva,went 1-1 on the weekend DIII,..SUNYAC volleyball semis at 4pm at Cortland,then jump in the car cruise up to Oz for the Whiteout/Platty,see ya'll there....Let"s Go Lakers!!!....What jerseys will we wear for Platty??? I mean we have a dozen or so :p :p :p :p ..
