With 3 weeks until our first exhibition game vs. St JFU and the boys back on the ice its time to take it up a notch this year.Nice job making the NCAA's with a auto bid, but we will have Bart and Skiddy to contend with this year as well as the usual suspects. With 16 super sohp's coming back and a cast of others to lead the way we should be in for a good run this yr.Let's hope the freshman and our 1 transfer can add a few highlights as well. The schedule is packed with some great competition,Hobart 2x,Skidmore 2x,Genny 2x,Cortland2x,Utica,a very competitive Home Tourney and ow yea that team from up North with the bird as a mascot.Lots of luck Lakers, its a long season so get ready to rock.....Let's Go Lakers!!!!!!!

p.s. hope to run into a few of you at the Naz exhibition game the 25th as my daughter will be playing volleyball for Cortland at 1pm in Lakerland...

Just announced Pete Sears is getting his #1 jersey retired. He will be the 1st laker in history across all sports to do so. Millberg still has his #1 jersey up on the website so not sure if hes being grandfathered for a year. Also interesting choice to do it vs skidmore instead of platty the day b4. Maybe they want more butts in seats that day?

great achievement in a storied program that has been around for a longtime with very good results....Congrats to him ,the bar was/is set high...Let's Go Lakers!!!!!!

Well I guess that opens up the question. Who else in the hockey program deserves to have their number retired? Dave Lair is probably the most obvious next guy up, but we have had some great goalies during the 21st century, and some of those numbers the other 80's guys put up my goodness.

8-3 preseason w. We for sure took our foot off the gas pedal during the 2nd half of the game and credit to fisher they caught us napping a few times. Chippy little shits too at times. That scuffle at the end made me clean my glasses to double check we were playing the st john fisher cardinals not the suny platty cardinals. There's certainly plenty of money at that school. Give them some time to piece it all together and get some better recruits and I think they're gonna be a permanent fixture on the schedule.

Headed to Oz this week for the 21st Media Summit and other CMA Alumni activities tied to the opening of Hewitt Hall and the CMA Alumni dinner…unfortunately on Saturday night…hope to catch some of the 3rd period vs Naz…will be visiting Ed, Whitey and Big Red to discuss strategy 🤣

looks like a nice start to the season,I was unable to watch, volleyball at Cortland,I would imagine all the players got their shifts in??? Looks like all net minders got a crack at it...How was the crowd???...See y'all next week,DIII any plans to attend????

Crowd was BIG. Team looked good, but as mentioned above slowed down the last half of the game. Big lead to play with? First game conditioning? Fisher took advantage of it and played us much more even towards the end. I'm sure they had their nerves early on since it was their first game EVER.

We should get a better picture of where we really are next week with Naz.

Colabufo looked like The Man behind the bench in his suit. :D

Don't forget yesterday was family and friends weekend (which explains the crowd) and next week is the teal game even though it's preseason.
