Romney wasn't so cold for the spectators with blackberry brandy in wine sacks...from what I have been told...:rolleyes:

Best line combination tonight...Kim-Swallow at center with King and Gerzakis on wings at the end of the game. Two defenseman at forward at the end of the game was great! Other than that, it wasn't a very good game to watch, Oswego looked like it was on a power play the whole game.

The worst thing out of this game is that Ayotte got drilled into the boards and upended late in the game of a blowout. His left arm was dangling on his way to the gate to go to straight to the locker room. He launched his stick down the hallway. Hopefully he will be back soon, not expecting this coming weekend. Luke Moodie was also hurt but would expect him to be back. He took a hard shot off the knee from his own teammate. He skated off under his own power and the injury in that Utica game here looked much worse and he was right back out there. Chris Brown is on crutches as well during the game. Just as we get healthy the injury bug hits again.

With Genny's win tonight and on Friday things just got interesting for conference play. That tilt on Saturday will be huge.

The more ice time Kim-Swallow got the better he got... good news for the future. Ayotte will be a big loss if he can't come back next weekend.

It always felt like my skates weren't sharp enough. I remember having our manager ask to use the skate sharpening machine at Romney and being told..."it's not working tonight".....ahhhh, the good ol' days!

Those old metal blades had a hard time cutting into that hard ice. :p

had my skates in the sharpening pile every time I got off the ice, we had some top shelf equipment managers for sure.. from what I remember,we,the players used to come in 24hrs a day to lay the ice down at the beginning of the season for about a week, as for putting down the lines dont think they wanted us doing that in the condition most of us were in when it was our turn to lay the ice..

Not much of a game last night. Hare saw tougher shots in warmups than he did in the game and for quite a while Oswego had more goals than Hamilton had shots. Oswego got off to a fast start for the second night in a row and once the Continentals were rattled it was all over but the shouting. Hamilton got their elbows up late in the game as they went head hunting on Josepher, Ayotte and Whitelaw.

Hamilton is suffering from many injuries to key players. Two of their top forwards are out and did not play last night. Not sure if that would make a difference but, it could.

I think it would have mattered very little. Hamilton had their top three scorers out there last night and they mustered pretty much nothing. Their top three scorers have a combined 30 points while Oswego's Paul Rodrigues has 34 while second place Luke Moodie has 30.

Massena the coldest??? That was one of the best rinks in section 10 ??? Its not the CC but its not the coldest.....

I swear I remember it as one of the cold rinks as a kid? That was the late 70's, early 80's.

They were trying out for forward positions. IF all three injuries are a no-go for this weekend. You will see a D-man playing up????????????
