Or as we still refer to it with our good friend Hector behind the bar: ..."Le Club de Montcalm"....I played with a french kid there and we used to laugh at his checkbook..."Domino's, 4th Ward, 4th Ward, Domino's, Domino's, 4th Ward, Domino'" (note: and he's a Card Hall of Famer !!!)....Ahhh, the good ol' days.

And, It appears Cortland is a "very aggresive team"
We did win something that matters at a pivotal time in the season. We beat the #2 team in the country, twice.
What teams of real consequence other than Hobart has Oswego beaten this year? A very aggressive Cortland State?

LakerFan I wouldn't have thought that anhyone would take a photo of Bucklands sign. As one who was is school the time that Bakdraft was I can appreciate his thoughts. Many stories can be told about Bucklands some good, bad and just not right.Oswego '88

Funny thing is that a lot of the comments were the same as bakdrafts about feeling a hangover coming on...LOL

Last nights game had many positives for the Lakers. Before the gmae started I thought it was very classy to present a check to both Coaches to help in cancer research. I hope both Coaches wives are doing well in beating this disease. Coach Roll has a nice team with 20 freshmen for I thought them played Oswego even up in the first. After that the Lakers experience took over. There were many positives in last nights game. Bakdraft you would have like to see the big check Rivat put on a Naz. player it was a doosie and he played really well. The Flyers gave Gilbert several good scoring chances and he was for the task each time. The biggest postive from last night was the Chris x 3 line. I would say that it was Muses best game of his career and Muse, Ayote and Brownie worked like a well oiled and long time veteran line. When in fact it was the first time together. They looked better than the Whitelaw line. I hope Chris x 3 line can develop for it was be great to have 2 very potent lines going down the stretch. As I drove home I listened to Brownie's interview on the radio and I think was he said about the Utica game in giving Utica alot of credit for the win shows the character of this team.

thanks for the review,good to hear another line has something going,we need to have more production other than the big line...listened to WNYO,that keeley guy is good stuff,and watched the Denver game they blew it, sounded like Gilbert played well with a few quality saves?? Rivait is a big kid good to see hes throwing the body around.......

It was also nice to see Pete Rod back out there after missing so much time with his injury. He played with a lot of energy and intensity and I think if he can stay healthy he will be a very productive member of the Laker's.
Rivait and Josepher were certainly forces physically last night and I hope that continues because the Laker's have been lacking in that department a little bit this season.
Gilly was solid in net but he went long stretches without seeing anything and in your first start it can be tough to settle in when that happens.
The Three Chris's was a line combination that I was hoping to see for a while and I was not disappointed by it. It was great to see Brownie pot a couple of goals as I felt he was struggling this year despite the fact that he now has 19 points he could very easily have twice that many. I hope we see those guys together again for more games as they could really take some of the pressure off the top line.

havnt heard much of Pete Rod, didnt play much last yr and hurt this y....r.anyone have the skinny on his game, if I remember he was hurt in jr's and was said to be a D1 recruit b4 that???

just from the highlights...shorty goal was a snippppp by P Rod......Naz first goal looked to go off the broken stick of Josepher that was on the ice for a while....3 Chris line nice puck moevment and they skated well,also on 1 of their goals P Rod covered nice when rivait pinched I guess it was a line change....Gilbert looked good, and got rid of that black mask it seems

And we know they have a 35 year record of futility. My poor nephew played four agonizing years there. THey're a little better these days, but I thought Coach Baldarotta would have accomplished more since he's been there. Little support from the administration for hockey and that's never changed. Occasionally they give you trouble but seldom put two good games together.
