I think it has to do with counting up Plattsburgh's losses "I can count to four.....I Can count to five", obviously the pollsters are not as hot about Utica as you are. Perhaps they know Oswego is playing poorly and in a slump and there's several teams that could beat them right now.

Let them win out and prove that the UC games actually meant something....
Tho i will say this- The polls ( no matter how useless ) are really off.

Oswego gets in a "slump", they lose, they deserve to be ranked lower as long as they're in the middle of playing poor hockey. That's what happens... or in Oswego's case, should happen. I say it time and time again, but if It was Utica playing poor hockey, they wouldn't be given these second chances that Oswego seems to be getting. What I mean by second chance by the way, is that they're still in the top 5 of the pack and remain ranked above an opponent who they have lost twice too.

I think most people would agree that Oswego at 5 is fair, Utica at 8 is harsh, and Utica behind Oswego is probably unjust as well.

I agree to an extent. Oswego and Utica should be closer and farther up. Oswego just didn't look like a top 5 team Saturday night.

And Oswego didn't look like the #2 team against Cortland or Buffalo State at home either...

We should be 5 or 6 and Oswego should be 7 or 8

I really hate to help you prove your point but here goes -
Oswego has probably won 25 regular season titles, and won only 8 SUNYAC Titles of those 25 great regular seasons.
About the only thing a great regular season and high ranking gets you is home ice. Besides, I thought St. Norbert was a pretty good 5 loss team last year

You may want to check the history books. Oswego has won nowhere near 25 regular season titles. Remember, Plattsburgh plays in that conference too.

Regular season titles and SUNYAC championships are two different things?

I am aware of that. Even said so specifically in my post. I'm checking right now to give an accurate count, but it's maybe half of that 25.

The point is better made with the exaggerated number. Hasn't the SUNYAC only been around since '81-'82?

I'm not sure if any of you were at the game last night, but it looked like after the final horn, it looked like for a second as if Oswego wanted to just walk off the ice without a hand shake... that would have been classless. Good thing Whitelaw was at the gate to turn his players back to get in line.

First of, notice I said I didn't want to make up excuses for them. I was just pointing out that something to take into account. Giving up four PPG's and taking stupid penalties was the reason why they lost. That put them out of the game early.

To comment on what you said about them wanting to walk off..the only one that did was Gilbert. Whitey came to get him the rest were still on the ice. I was there at the game as well at ice level.

Is the world coming to an end? Platty fan backing a Oswego fan? Thanks brother! I knew I had a reason for a high level of respect for your team and fans. Just to put it out there Syracuse rarely plays 4 times a week in basketball and when they do they always put up a crapper of a game. Just like sticks said, I'm not worried of a "downward spiral", I believe in the boys , Eddie, and Mark.

And sorry but I laughed when I read that you thought Gosek should have played Gilbert. The man has a National Championship and 199 wins. I'm not questioning what he does and plus I know the man personally so I respect his decisions. Hindsight is 20/20 on this one Pios#1. Hare is our guy and will continue to be the man between the pipes until he really trips up. This loss was not on him.
