Looks like we are heading to Utica tonight.....1st trip to the Aud is it cold?

Wasted trip to Utica tonight, sold out mid-afternoon. There's a first. Tried getting tickets outside the Aud, no luck. Followed the game on cellphone on the trip home, almost glad we didn't get in. Tough game. If Gilbert played well enough Ed has some tough decisions to make.

Note for next year- tickets available online until midnight, or as long as available at WalMart Ticketmaster/tron.

Digby on WNYO post game answering question about facing Nazareth next - "we got our clocks cleaned on the road 6-0 - we don't care who we are playing next, we care about how we will play like a championship team our next game..." I have admired his candid assessments all season long...

Gilbert played well especially when he first came in stopped a real flurry in front to start things off. I would not blame all of this on Hare though a lot of what was given up were pp goals, it was an uncharacteristically sloppy Oswego team letting guys get behind them and then taking stupid penalties right form the get go they started right from the get go worth a boarding so obvious you could call it from the back row and UC power play just took advantage what felt like every time

Utica's power play was clicking, great puck movement, then scoring on easy back door passes. Even strength, Utica simply out skated and out worked Oswego. I haven't seen Oswego get beat like that since the old UMass-Lowell & RIT powerhouse teams of DII!

Don't want to make excuses, but I would have to believe playing 4 games in 7 days takes a little out of you. Especially playing a 7pm then a 4pm game back to back. Undisciplined play ruled the day and sealed their fate early. I don't fear this to continue.

In addition, (in relief) Gilbert played really well and weathered the storm. I believe if my math was right in comparison with the board at The Aud he had 19 saves. Great preview of what is to come and he did against a great team.

If you had a bright spot it definitely was Gilbert, coming in cold like that is very difficult. Kudos !

I believe when I was a Oz we got thumped by RIT?? or another team.....like I said bus pulled up to Romney skates on and the rest you know...wonder how this was handled,dont know Gosek coaching to well but dont think it hurts to send a message?? Perhaps with 14 seniors another method will work, but that was something they will have to deal with asap. Edit as/ Russell they cannot make the playesr do a punishment skate, as they say anymore,as/NCAA marshmellow squad

One word. Conditioning. Do not make excuses for why your team lost. They are hockey players and should be conditioned for this type of play and the amount of it --Especially at this point in the season.

Gilbert should have started. Although you would have never known he would of done that well since he gets like zero playing time. Can't blame Eddie though, he had to go with his starter and the hot goalie. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Gilbert or Jones get a look at a game down the road.

I'm not sure if any of you were at the game last night, but it looked like after the final horn, it looked like for a second as if Oswego wanted to just walk off the ice without a hand shake... that would have been classless. Good thing Whitelaw was at the gate to turn his players back to get in line.

Really amazing how Oswego goes from zero penalties one night to loads of them the very next night. Kudos to UC but I still believe Oswego will go deeper into the playoffs than Utica will, experience will prevail.

We've got to get to the playoffs first, we have 3 losses to teams that will be ranked, how many wins do we have over teams that will be ranked? Hobart, Plymouth, Geneseo(if we're lucky) we've got to pull it together and beat Plattsburgh when the time comes, or we have no shot at a pool C. Hopefully we don't need to worry about pool C and we can just win our conference.

Win the SUNYAC and take it off the slippery slope of the NCAA selection process...it would be nice to head into the big dance on a win streak! #StillBelieve

still plenty of hockey 2b played by all teams, win and your in,yes time to step it up,perhaps the above mention senior experience will help, time will tell,I think we will be OK.....

I liked this Utica team the first time I saw them against Oswego, and was reminded again watching them last night what I like about them. They are an extremely fast, well skilled and hard working team. If they continue to play with the discipline, and urgency they have shown against Oswego 2x, I believe they will will make a playoff run. From what I've seen, they are a tough team to beat right now, but the are playoffs are a total different animal as everyone knows?
