Derek, this season is mirroring our senior year in 09 to a T. Possibly even more so tomorrow. If you remember how we played the last game before the jump and we were hobbled with injuries then with Becksy out and Mags and I think a few others. Then entered Timmy Carr and Harry Potter er Tim.

To be fair, 97osu said 2nd or 3rd of the eastern teams. That would be 5 or 6 overall.

I hate to break it to you and I'm generally a very upbeat optimistic guy. But, the team is limping into this Hobart game, which will bode well for Hobart. They will definitely need this break coming up and hopefully like my senior year they can recuperate and run off a stretch of wins like when Potter came in to replace Hyk (who was in for Beckwith). Hopefully the end of the year results are different lol then that year.

It befuddles me that they continue to resort to the same thing that failed the week before. Take some more point shots and have someone out front screening like they did with the Badham goal. I think that worked why not try it again?

Lastly, for now anyway, the intensity in these guys was lacking and was clearly evident after Moodie came off the ice in the 2nd. I think mentally they were not even there. There were being beaten badly to loose pucks and muffed so many passes that their minds had to be somewhere else. There were times where some didn't even know where the puck was. So needless to say, mental awareness was lacking tonight for sure.

And without a doubt Utica was faster, but I wouldn't go as far as to say they are the better team overall. They were just the better team tonight on this chosen day and ground.

Also props to the Utica fan who made the "You just got Educated" sign. Many Oswegonians most likely didn't get it but kudos. He is a great player and very heady. The other sign I saw well I will chalk that up to the beers you drank before entering. :)

Well, you just saw two posters. Pioneers#1 had the signs and I was the fella with the old road jersey sitting next to him.

Just as I posted after Plattsburgh's tie vs. Cortland last Friday and a looming (and bleak-looking) visit to Oswego the next night......"beware the wounded animal".......I expect a bounceback from the Lakers tonight. They are too good a team.

didnt get to watch the game ugh, just highlights and reading post....Utica goal 1,HUGE turnover in dzone and dman looking at the puck instaed of picking up a player/stick...2nd Utica goal,Carr took a rush and NO player covered for him, BASIC hockey boys,also viewed a few 3on 1s due to no coverage for the dman????? BASIC stuff......after that cant comment on the game but good job by Utica, and we have Hobart at the cooler tonight,guh.......ps any whitelaw?? and did moddie come back after going down?? PPs as far as one post saying they were the faster team, that comes with hustle and desire to win,most of these top teams can skate with each other..ppps, that educate can snipppppp

time code of the original video from a stoppage of play and a shot of the clock will get you close...if you go by Keeley's call and the full second increments on youtube, the celebration began just before zero....BUT

WTOP's Chris Horvatits on Twitter this morning - "Spoke with SUNYAC and ECAC West Coordinator of Officials Jeff Fulton on the situation at the end of regulation between Oswego and Hobart. Jeff told me that the correct call was made on the ice. Hobart goal should have counted and it did. Jeff added "technically (the officials) should have dropped the puck. Goal was scored with 1 tenth of a second on the clock".

That would make the clock operator the player of the game in regulation???

I know it's a bit after the fact, but I just wanted to say thank you to WTOP & yourself for being very fair throughout the game. Even after Utica won, I heard you talking about the game and I thought your analysis was very fair. We had a lot of fun up there. I would have made more of an effort to meet you up there, however once I crossed over towards the student section going to other side of the building from where we were, I felt like I got some death looks from a number of Oswego fans so I figured it wasn't wise to spend a whole lot of time near the press box ;) hahaha

Wish I could have made the trip down to Geneva, that is a huge win against a quality team. Great to see young Carr stepping up more the past few games, and taking more drives to the net. He has great hands, seems to be gaining more confidence, and I think he is going to be one of the next great ones

I'm a little behind, as I haven't even put the Whiteout weekend games up yet, but I'll catch up over the next few weeks before pathfinder
