Thanks for the video link Mike. From the looks of that at first glance it looks like it was a laser tucked right under the cross bar and quickly popped back out. But, the more you play it looks like it hit the cross bar and did not come close to crossing the line as it shot right back out on to the ice. Maybe I shouldn't have replayed it so many times to make me think that it was in fact not a goal. :D But, what is done is done and they need come back out swinging in a BIG way this Friday. It is a big game for both teams, and just got even bigger for the Lakers.

thnks for the link the hertz thing is what it is, the only thing I can see/say is watch the ref in the lower corner with the best angle in the house, he never makes the goal sign, most times the ref will point to the net inferring a goal has occurred....++it happens we move on:eek:....genny next

I had to go to see the video. Sadly I read the story. THis little tidbit go t my attention:
"Junior forward Evan Chlanda got things going in the first period when he scored his second goal of the evening on the power-play to give UC an early 1-0 lead. "

Huh?? His second goal made it 1-0?

The article should have said "he scored his second goal of the year...."

UNCONFIRMED chatter online from campus....Beckwith out for season with ACL injury....again, UNCONFIRMED at 930am this morning......stay tuned.

I think we have a good tender in hare, so I'm not worried. Its a shame though

I really feel bad for this kid if it is true. He couldn't catch a break his whole career here. Like others have said if this is true we have two very capable tenders in Hare and Jones to pick things up. Maybe we even get a third in January, but obviously it is not as frantic of a push to get one as in previous years (when we started the year with only two goalies). I'm thinking after what has happened to Becksy, Gosek never goes without 3 goalies on his roster to start the year!

If this is true perhaps he will rdshrt, maybe he can do graduate work or maybe he will not be able to finish school this yr due to the injury??? Either way, it sucks for him and the team, and yes we do have 2 good goalies as well and yes 3 goalie are needed for sure, may see another added at the break?? No matter what it is not an excuse and we have to step it up without Paul, best of luck to him....

just curious if it was Kosher...I remember the goalie from Oz, real tall guy, who worked in the Wash Caps organization who signed a 1 day contact due to a goalie problem,I think he took warm-ups and then the AHL guy finally arrived, he also practiced with the team once in a-while...hey could be a nice call-up for the club guy..

I think we went over this last year. Once you start playing ACHA you can't play for the NCAA team of your school in the same academic year or something like that. That's why having a JV team is a benefit.
