I think Chris might not be playing Friday. He had a rough couple games from my perspective. He is a nice player and seems gritty but has a lot to learn and has a lot of potential. But, I wouldn't mind seeing Gosek give Peter Rodrigues, RJay Berra, or Domenico a chance to see what they can do.

Singleton I think will be lost in the shuffle this year due to a lack of speed at his current position. I think if he was willing to shift to defense than he could be used. He is a good player but his speed leaves a lot to be desired as a forward.

I hate to say it but if Singleton played D, they would beat him like a rented mule, very hard to make the switch back without top skating skills...I think Gosek will play him when he needs some size, Elmira has very very few forwards with any size, dmen are good size but up front they are all about speed and skill, Singleton would be better vs. Utica and other big teams when we need to bang, I think Oswego has the luxury to tailor their line-up accordingly..

Don't count out Matt yet. He will contribute this year.
On another note, we we're at Elmira Friday. We we're concerned when Paul Beckwith did not come out in the 2nd period. From good sources, he had an MRI on his knee monday. Anyone know the results?

I dont what to count Matt out for sure I like to watch him play, he is always on the move...as for paulie hope hes OK and also, Hare had a injury in the Sat. night game any word on that?? anybody have any line-up ideas for the redddddragons fri??

I don't think it was an injury to Hare. More like he was gassed, 5 on 3's are tough on a goalie and the pk when you can't clear the puck.

I was sitting behind the Laker bench when Hare went down. The ref came over and told Eddie that it looked like Hare may have taken a puck to the mask near his throat. I guess he just got the wind knocked out of him.

ok ok thats the type of info we are looking for...thnks...that Hare kid played very well I was impressed, very good positioning and looked confident:D

Anybody know anything about Beckwith's status? There has to be somebody in the media that knows. I mean after all that is what you are there to do is report on news about the team.:rolleyes:

From what Beckwith told us, he is "under the weather"

Coach Digby said he's "not really sure what went down with him and he's still being looked at."

So really it's anyone's guess.

At least we got some news, but like you said doesn't really give us much. I have heard from a couple people that he suffered a knee injury. Either way I think it is safe to say that Hare will be in net again this weekend. Gosek is always known for going with the hot goaltender no matter what.

I also heard that it was a knee injury. It had been bothering him since practice started it got better before last weekend then
he tweaked in the game. Just a rumor I heard.

To add to the knee injury story, when he skated off the ice after the 1st period in Elmira he signaled the trainer and tapped his right knee. I am wondering why he played Hare and not Jones. Jonesy has been with the team since he was a Freshman and I thought he looked pretty good last year.

Pall Times has article with Gosek saying it was a knee injury and they are waiting for more
information regarding the injury
.

OSU2010, that would be my best guess too. Hare was probably 2nd on the depth chart and has been doing better in practice. Nothing is based on last years play, you have to earn your spots under Eddie. I'm hoping that Hare takes advantage of this opportunity and plays his butt off to the extent of Kyle Gunn-Taylor and I would be very happy as we know what happened at the end of the year. But lets hope for different results in the semi's.

lets get serious, you have the results of an MRI back very fast...I am sure he has a injury but I am also sure they know exactly what it is by now ...anyway Hare stood the test and he will be fine vs Cort and Utica..

My guess is they got the MRI back didn't like what the doctor had to say and maybe wanted a second opinion, and if that is the case I am betting the injury could be on the edge between short and long term. Either way I remember when Beckwith was recuited fans were saying he had D1 offers and I am wondering if that is what scared some of those teams off because of injury concers. I feel bad for him especially if it is long term and for Jones who sat the bench his freshman year after KGT came in and split time with Beckwith then last year 1 recuit decided not to come and not sure what happened to the other but they brought in a D1 transfer and now he is back down in the depth chart with only 1 year of eligibty left after this year.

Lets not get ahead of ourselves, it's only
been 2 games so far and Hare still needs to prove himself. Niagra may have been D1 but it wasn't really the top of the D1 prgrams.
