Good win for us last night. Freddy's goalie Bogart, played very well and he was the reason Freddy was in it as long as they were. He made some great stops. I had the fortunate pleasure of standing beside his mom for the game. We had a nice talk during the game. The Bogarts are good family friends with the family of Carter Allen, and she spoke very highly of Carter. With our D'men actually scoring this year we have to stop crowding the net and keep our spacing. Teams now have to respect the scoring threat from the Blue line. This will only help our PP. Berry played a nice game and it was good to see him back for he seemed to be back to his old playing style. Only negative is that we got what I call the Jim Boeheim effect. That is being to close to Syracuse and when The Lakers are up they stop playing the style that got them the lead. Yes Freddy played a different game the first 5-6 minutes of the start of the 3rd but we were not playing the aggressive style that got us the lead. The dmen paring of MacMillian and Solow has been a solid paring. Let's hope there is no drop off in tonights game. Still have to be mentally tough.

Only got to see the first period,yes girls travel softball is a year round sport:eek:,we looked very good both goals were nice shots and we looked composed on the PP and aggressive on the PK....Agree with DIII great to have the dmen in the scoring column this yr...Should be another close one tonight...

I thought the Jim Boeheim effect was when you miss a ton of foul shots and the big ones when they count:D

Well that sucked. The one thing we thought we didn't have to worry about this year was goaltending.

Players not hitting shots is called choking. Changing style of play of the coach.

Well lets look at the positives from last nights mental break down. We did not allow a PP goal, a big plus. The offense it its part to get back into the game even thought it took 2 periods to get going. Have not seen a game where both goalies took the night off. Buff St brought their own seeing pucks. Hansen view was blocked on Buff's last goal I was right in line with the player and the goal and Hansen was screened by our player. Well lets hope that our sticker of a game is done for the season.

Tough loss for sure Buff came out on fire and we watched for a while both their players and the puck going in the net b4 we woke...Don't think we have the #1 in the net as Genny does so we must make up with dzone coverage,didnt happen last night,d let them walk in to much and we puck watched a few times...Gotta win the big faceoffs at the end of the game as well,goalie needs to be out on top of the crease on those draws as well ...Gut check time down 3 and we passed the test just didn't finish not sure how this loss will effect pool chances if we don't win the YAC and with Genny on cruise control who knows...Novick is En Fuego...Allen played awesome with many sports center hits,maybe our best defensive dman..Nendanhal,love the hits,but 3 penalties is to much,sure Coach will have him turn it down a knotch when needed...PK very aggressive and got great results....Crowd was nice and TOP with another well done call...Finally the Mary's minute was great,shows the great spirit of the Oswego faithfull….

Not all bad last night, but an in conference loss, yikes, we should have rolled these guys. Credit to Buff State, they rolled us. Cant look past Brockport Friday night, on our way to the Genny showdown Sat Night, need the 7th man to come out in force like they did last night. Berry and Allen are animals, right on. Go Lakers

And now we're back 4 min into the period, at least they noticed.

Pretty sloppy game last night. Passing was all over the place. Hopefully we can tighten up for tonight and bring it at home against Genny. Looks like Genny had no cake walk with Cortland either though.

Pluses and minuses in last nights game. Richer had a very good night, as we were slow in the second , Brockport dominated that period. One glaring thought being at the game, Brockport was a very physical team last night. Many great hits on both sides. Brockport could do some damage in the playoffs

Richer had a great rebound from last week last night- he was focused, razor sharp, and In The Zone for all 60 minutes. Not a great game up front, we'll need a lot more tonight- and mistake-free, if we want to have a chance against the Big G. Good to see that they didn't have that easy of a time against Cortland. Gillespie took a nasty hit and did not return, sat off the bench with a big ice bag the rest of the game. Molinaro had to crawl off the ice after a big hit, but returned.

Brockport has come a ways in getting the fan base out- at least 80% full last night. Of course it doesn't hurt that they have a hot dog toss into the student section- they brought down an insulated sack of like 30 hot dogs and hurled them into the stands! T-shirt gun going off full time during the breaks. Campus Center take note.

So #2 and #4 face off tonight after similar 3-0 wins last night. Edge to Geneseo, but it's our ice. Let's Go Lakers!

Geneseo outshot Cortland 64-16. Modica had a monster game in goal. Glad I was there to see it!

Brockport outshot Oz 35-22, very un-Oswego-like but we got the 3 that counted. 2000 reported souls, maybe it was the hot dogs or the opponent. Tonight all guns blazing, another Richer lights out performance and mistake free hockey--Need the 7th man to be loud and proud, Go Lakers.

Oswego just scored and the goal judge was asleep, no lamp light and McDonald pushed net off so no count. Wake up!

We just scored and again....lamp way to late, luckily ref in good position this time for it to count. It doesn't have to slam back of the net to be a goal.

Man what we had and didn't know with Tyson Bruce, 7 goals 11 assists for 18...
In half a season, glad to see him getting more than a one game audition and putting in work.

I wonder how many of our cats that get their one game auditions and then don't see ice again could help us more.

Missed Bport game but watched Genny....My biggest take away of this was again the special teams, their 2 goals they scored on the PP was done when we sat back and watched them pass the puck,then put it in the net,reminder we don't do well playing that style,on their 5 minute major we attacked them and they got nothing,and we also picked up a SHG.I'll go back to Morrisville who uses the attack penalty kill and held us to 1 of 11 in the 2 game set...I would rather see them score while we are attacking them than when we sit back and watch....OK lots of hustle 2 great stops by Richer on breakaways and we went to the net ,see Broughman and passero goals..We took all bad penalties last night as well,yes there are good penalties,slashing is out boys think we had 4 or 5 in the last 2 nights... allen,currie novick campbell another great game,but a few of our dmen looked lost ,maybe the spped/skill of Genny?? Not a bad tie but with a few changes we can beat them,no time off North country next,and Platty looks to have a new system...3 lines and 4 dmen:eek:...Any info on Gillespie,he's a big spark plug for use and QB's the PP,hope he is better didn't see the game/hit....crowd seemed loud and proud as well...

Coach brings in who they think can help the team and then they try to work things out on the ice,never know who will fit where,looks like Bruce fits with Canton,good for him nice to see.....and I think he got more than 1 game IIRC..Fact check 2 1/2 yrs 18games...2 goals 3 assists..
