Oswego & Plattsburgh - 2012 Whiteout redux 3-3-12

For the first time since Saturday March 6, 2010 Plattsburgh and Oswego will be meeting up for the SUNYAC Championship.

It has been posted that tickets should be available to the general public beginning this Wednesday (Leap Day 2/29).

Unfortunately I'm moving to Colorado on March 4th, this will be the last Oswego-Plattsburgh game I'll be able to attend for quite some time, (perhaps years) hopefully its a barn burner, though I expect nothing less.

Since Southern Maine will be playing at Skidmore that day, I would like to extend a welcome to any Norwich fans to attend, as I KNOW they don't get enough SUNYAC hockey :p

Don't knock it till you try it. Division I hockey is pretty fun too.

I dont know about CC, but I know Denver plays in a pretty cool barn where they pack them in. I watched the North Dakota/Denver game this past weekend and it was a pretty festive atmosphere with Denver making the comeback.

Oswego has won 8.

This is their 12th meeting in the Championship.

Does anyone have the head to head wins/loss record just for this game?

Oswego Basketball was just announced as a host team for the NCAA D3 tournament....so there will be hoops and hockey on campus this weekend....and hopefully no conflict with a 7p puck drop - for the sake of our student broadcasters....

Eastern Connecticut faces Medaille while the Oswego plays Endicott in the opening rounds at Laker Hall....times and ticket information to be posted shortly.

Platty leads 9-2. A win on Saturday will ease the pain of some of those 9 losses...

The times and ticket information have been posted, I'm thinking now you are hoping for a "conflict with a 7p puck drop" ;)

Yeah, just saw that posted on the OZZZ twitter feed. What does WTOP and WNYO do for this? What takes priority? And could one game be recorded and shown later?

I'm sure Lou could answer this better, but I would assume WTOP and WNYO would carry the hockey game. If anything, I wonder if it's possible to have the hockey game on WTOP and have the basketball game on the webcast. It will be a challenge for sure.

I don't want to speak for WTOP but I believe they are covering both and airing hockey on ch. 10... hockey will always take priority for us at WNYO, but we'll certainly be providing updates constantly.

Might that mean no Time Warner feed available for hockey then ??? Plattsburgh fans will either be there or not know what a "webcast" is anyway. :mad:

Isn't a webcast what a spider spins around its prey?

I have a feeling the hockey game WILL be on the TW feed. I don't know anything official (I assume the official word is coming in the next day or two) but I would guess the hockey game will be on WTOP and TW and the basketball game will be on the webcast.
