Onward to Boston! Friar Hockey 2014/15 Part Two

Re: Onward to Boston! Friar Hockey 2014/15 Part Two

Zlax just let it go. you clearly like watching the teams and going to the games. its college hockey, a bunch of good kids representing their school. not pro athletes making 5 million, who would be pumping gas if they were not fast and refusing to answer questions at a press conference.
If a 19 or 20 year old college kid lets up a goal or gets burnt, who really cares.
all positive on Huxley Ave and Jon Gillies is an enormous part of that. Enormous

Beating Miami of Ohio and Denver on back to back nights, at the Dunk and now heading to the Garden is amazing.

Life is very good as a Friar fan

My advice, write the negative post, than delete vs post. Its not worth it

You seem to forget these guys are human. They will get give up soft ones. Sometimes the D screws up and the goalie looks bad and sometimes it is the failure of the offense to backcheck. And sometimes **** happens. You just crapped all over Gillies all the time, no matter what. I can only imagine what you would have said about Terreri when the Friars lost in 1985.
Offsides?

I'm too happy to make fun of Zlax today!

Sincere congrats to all Friar fans from this DU alum. I was at the game. You were classy in your treatment of us
after your great win.(DU fans would have been equally gracious)

NOW GO AND WIN A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

That 20 year old adult is going to find a ton of criticism if he gives up that same goal in an NHL game than a little college hockey message board.

We all see how Tuukka gets treated in the Boston area when he gives up a soft goal and not deserving of an NHL contract...Gillies if he sticks around in the NHL long enough will face the same thing.

Ah now I get it. You are toughening him up for when he has to listen to pro *****holes complain.

You really should have done this years ago. Tyler certainly could have been helped by your "encouragement"

Good to have a purpose in life.

I see where the Bruins signed Miami's Austin Czarnik. I would think he gets to spend time with the PBruins. Kind of ironic......end your college career and begin your pro career in the same building

In the 3 games I saw him play certainly liked his play. A Ross Mauerman type with more natural talent. Hopefully he would be the type of player Leaman can now bring in

Re: Onward to Boston! Friar Hockey 2014/15 Part Two

A nice column by Jim Donaldson in the ProJo: Donaldson: Hockey Friars have been good and fortunate

Like any team at the top, the Friars have been both good and lucky. I saw where Jon Gillies was the HEA defensive player of the week and Jake Walman the HEA rookie of the week. Congrats to both.

I don't know about you, but I am enjoying this week immensely and looking forward to next week. :D

Just looked at the season stats, PC hasn't given up an empty net goal all season. Odd

And until Tanev scored one vs Miami they only had the one Tanev scored vs CC. Since Tanev scored another vs Denver clearly you should have him on the ice when the other team pulls their goalie

You guys need to bring a bigger band. Listening to the game, I could only hear the bass line, which turns "When the Saints Go Marching In" into an entirely different song.

Hmmmmmmmm. Very Interesting...
