One last dance: The final Peters Cup Playoffs

Re: One last dance: The final Peters Cup Playoffs

My initial thought is hope that big game experience sees some guys rise to the occasion because most other things I can think of factor Eau Claire.

On the injury front, it looked like everyone got thru healthy besides Ekstrom. After colliding with the cage in the 3rd period he didn't return. They really need him so hopefully it isn't too serious.

Re: One last dance: The final Peters Cup Playoffs

Just ordered my tickets for the Peter's Cup title game....
Lady said they sold almost 300 tickets in the first 30 minutes that they were available today.
They expect a sellout.

Re: One last dance: The final Peters Cup Playoffs

Huge Saturday night coming up for the Blugolds!! Even though the Blugold's are at home I would say they're still the under dog. Two time defending National Champions with essentially the same roster from last year, including last years National Championship MVP in between the pipes.... Peter's Cup Champions eight of the last ten years.... Well the Blugolds had better stay out of the box and hope to contain MR. March aka Cody Keefer who always seems to be on the score sheet (A Lot) this time of year. He's only one of the Green Knight's (insert Stroh, Perry, Bradshaw, Zepeda, on and on and on here) most dangerous hockey players in the country. This game is what DIII playoff hockey is all about! Good luck Blugold's and keep it up!!!!

Re: One last dance: The final Peters Cup Playoffs

Roughly 400 tickets still available.....headed to a sellout...should be rocking in Hobbs on Sat nite!!

Re: One last dance: The final Peters Cup Playoffs

SNC goes for their 11th Peters Cup Championship tonight, Eau Claire their first.
Should be a great matchup!!

Re: One last dance: The final Peters Cup Playoffs

In case anyone is wondering, the Peters Cup and O'Brien Cup winners tonight do not get to permanently get to keep the trophy going forward.

Yep and it means zippo when it comes to next weekend's games. You're playing the MCHA winner and Eau Claire is playing the MIAC winner. Good luck. Nobody gets hurt and nobody gets suspended.

Re: One last dance: The final Peters Cup Playoffs

Anyone know if there might be an Eau Claire video webcast that the Abbey in Depere will pick up?

Re: One last dance: The final Peters Cup Playoffs

Thank you! SNC will have audio with the awesome Tim DeRozier. Unfortunately I could not make the trip to Eau Claire today for what should be a classic. For the SNC faithful that could, cheer loud!

Maybe, but not necessarily. If MSOE beats Adrian again for the Harris Cup, they likely would be the #4 W seed, and they would be within 500 miles of any of the other Western seeds.

Also, if both Adrian and Oswego hold serve it's possible those two could face in a first round game. That would leave the MIAC champs to face the lower seed between UWEC and SNC.

I'm hoping the broadcasts are synced well, so I can watch the Eau Claire vid with the sound off while listening to Tim D!

Re: One last dance: The final Peters Cup Playoffs

THIS JUST IN--for those SNC faithful that could not make the trip for the game tonight, The Abbey in DePere will have the telecast!!!

So, is there going to be an announcement about what happens to it at some point soon-ish?

If, for whatever reason, the WIAC were keeping it, I'd love to see SNC win it and leave it at center ice à la Plattsburgh in 1992. :p
