The BTN cameras are getting us a good look at Jenny Potter's coaching demeanor. She's got a pretty stern face! (The director loves Coach Potter)

She called timeout at 5-0. She was laying into her players. Hopefully she can get them more like Penn State, who will keep skating and competing no matter the score against a good opponent, and less like SCSU this weekend.

I take it from his display on BTN after the game that Mark Johnson isn't too into getting manipulated, although he sure looked like he wanted to smile when his daughter scored at the end there.

Volleyball is head up against the Packers twice this year, Nov 8th and Nov 22nd. Nov 22 is the worst day on the schedules for conflict this year; Packers at noon (Vikings), and both Volleyball in Madison at 1 PM (against nationally ranked Ohio State) and womens hockey at 2 PM (against Lindenwood)

(Anybody need a ticket to WH against Lindenwood? :-)

Adding: sorry, I forgot I was on a comment thread specific to the OSU-UW series. The comment etc would have been more appropriate for a 'UW only' thread.

Wisconsin takes game two in another dominating performance. Wisconsin outshot Ohio State 61-19. Wisconsin's goals were scored by Mikaela Gardner, Jenny Ryan, Mikayla Johnson, Sydney McKibbon, Sarah Nurse, Annie Pankowski, and Emily Clark (2). It doesn't get any easier for the Bucks as they return home to face #1 Minnesota in their home opener. Glad to hear that Coach Jenny Potter was not happy with our play. With a new coach and a new system, there will be some games like this, especially when playing top five programs on the road. No one feels worse about this than our coaching staff and players, so I am not going to pile on. Hopefully, our team learns from this and is better for it down the road. Good luck to the Badgers, although it doesn't appear that they need any luck with that lineup! See you in Columbus in the second half of the season.

We sit right behind the opposing bench and Potter kinda intimidated me. A very stern type coach but not a ahole like Miller. You can't hear her cussing out her players like Miller (not that Potter was doing that).

OSU stood tall with UW for the first 5 to 6 minutes, then fell back into the ways of yesterday for the balance of the game. OSU played a lot more chippy today, I don't know if that was by design or out of frustration.

Is the OSU assistant coach Duggan Megan's sister?

OSU has a long way to go. I was not expecting UW to crush them so handily. Maybe UW is just better than I thought and OSU is worse than I thought.

Full disclosure, chose watching football over going to game. Worst part is thinking I recorded the game on BTN only to harshly find out otherwise when I went to watch it later in the day. Sucks for me.

Honestly, I know Wisconsin has the making of a very good team, but I don't understand how a program like Ohio State can get obliterated like that. Just can't believe the transition to a new coach would be so bumpy even though it is obviously early in the season.

OSU gave up a goal 28 seconds in and didn't look ready to play. The second goal was four minutes into the game and two Buckeyes vacated the slot and let Pankowski carry to the net. I don't consider that standing tall.

No, Carson Duggan is Canadian, Meghan Duggan is American.

I know the quality of opponent has bearing, but do you still feel this way?

First time in school history a team has scored five or more goals in each of the first four games and every girl on the team has a point.

From O zone territorial time and shots perspective, it was even on Saturday in the beginning, which was I was referring to.

Listen - 15-0 over 2 games. Over 60 shots on goal in game 2. This was a total domination. The Badgers looked terrific and the Buckeyes struggled in all aspects of the game. Coach Potter has a good core to work with but it will take time. Injuries have not helped but certainly not the reason for the weekend's results.

The Badgers were fun to watch. Every line contributed and the D was solid not giving the Buckeyes any space in the D zone. Well done.
