The OSU play by play guy and colour commentator have been quite capable and very entertaining this season.

Very funny comment upon complimenting UM with their shorthanded ability to achieve "clean zone entry"..."I also have clean zone entry but I need a complete sheet of ice with nobody else on it!"

But, Davis from Paradise, New Orleans!??? The heavy action must be affecting him

The second period was the game...OSU cranked the speed up in the third. Very fast game.

Hey PGB -- I'll be very interested in your take on this one. Personally, I think Doocy and Storey, this weekend's refs, needed to sit in the sin bin for a few minutes themselves.

Now to try to get home. One of the restaurants at the airport in Cincinnati is closing early, officially due to lack of flights but more likely because of poor weather. Hoping I can somehow get home to Minneapolis tonight.

Now to try to get home. One of the restaurants at the airport in Cincinnati is closing early, officially due to lack of flights but more likely because of poor weather. Hoping I can somehow get home to Minneapolis tonight.

As you know, the games themselves were played primarily between storms, so presumably your time in Columbus went off without a hitch. Also, it should be noted that Friday's storm was underwhelming, and today's "storm" was virtually non-existent. I do realize that other areas were harder hit; hope things weren't too bad in Cincy.

BTW, I'm curious as to why you wound up flying out of Cincy. Was it really that much cheaper than flying the CMH/MSP non-stop on Delta? Or perhaps you were rerouted down there?

My plan was to stay with some GWH fan friends who live in the Cincy area on Friday and Saturday night, riding with them to the games and thereby avoiding hotel costs. I did stay with them Saturday night.

But due to storminess in Cincy on Friday and Chicago last night (Sunday), plus not being able to reach my friends after they dropped me off at CVG after yesterday's game, I had two nights in hotels anyway and I'm still not home yet (got to O'Hare this morning but my connection to Mpls is significantly delayed).

Here's to hoping that next year's trip goes much more smoothly. And while I'm at it, here's to hoping that next year you have much closer games to watch.
