She'll always be in my heart. It was just to stunning that she transferred to WI, I still cannot believe it happened. I'm sad it ovah, I have a hard time letting go. It's kinda funny, when I'm posting here, it just comes out naturally. The main reason I was doing it was to poke T3 a bit, but he seems to have abandoned us except for tourney time, so MAYBE I will attempt to re-train my brain/fingers to stop. I'm a bit dense, as you all know, so it may be a challenge. Watts Watts Whatts Whatss Watts Whattts Whats Whats whats what Watts what.....No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We were no slouches last season on the pp but with coaching the pp's and shootout techniques being some of his specialties I'm very excited about the upcoming season. It really stinks missing so much of last season being in a coma and on a ventilator from before Christmas to late February!

It looks like Timothy is a few paces off the mark when you look at the USCHO Coaches poll. The Ohio State on top, Gophers 2nd, BADgers 3rd. Then Northeastern and Duluth.
 
Today is the first day of official practice and I got a hug from Coach Nadine and met her new staff! She's so intense behind the bench during the games and is such a sweetheart in person.
We talked about you Timothy A but don't worry, it was nothing bad. She's quite aware of our posts. LOL!
However Timothy, if you every get to Columbus for an OSU-UW series I'll do my best to try and introduce you to her! You would like her even though she coaches for your rivals.
It would certainly give us something to talk about over a beer after the game. The Varsity Club bar is right across the street from the arena!

Well, um, you know I'm just doing some pre-season goofing around, the BADgers will be lucky to win 1 game against tOSU all season, and if they are so lucky as to pull off a lucky win, it will be in a game they get outshot 65 to 12 and the winning BADger goal will be off a triple deflection that includes a high stick, a distinct kicking motion and goalie interference that Ludwig and Bradshaw screw up the review on and make it count for the BADgers when it really should not have due to all the stinkin' BADger cheating on the play. But don't worry, your undefeated season will still happen because MJ will forfeit the game out of unbearable guilt over how the goal was scored. He'll make up some story that a 4th line winger was ineligible for that game so it won't even count as a tie against tOSU.

I sit behind the opposing team bench at the UW home games, I am well aware of her intensity, but I can't for the OSU games now as she's gonna come over the glass and kick my butt. I don't stand a chance.

Gosh I love this board, so much fun.

I'm not sure of what you're trying to convey Timothy but maybe it's because it's late and I'm half asleep. Are you implying our coach would have reason or want to kick your butt? I'm rather confused.

Well I skater tonight for the first time since I became ill. It was at the OSU rink. It took all my effort not to fall and it exhausted me.
There was one thing that bothered me, I asked the rink manager for permission to skate with a hockey stick to help stabilize me and was refused.
I've skated that ice since the beginning of the 1960's, well before he was born so imagine my frustration that he was unwilling to accommodate me since I'm now legally disabled.
Now I'm struggling with the decision to let it go or take it up higher in the athletic department.

Take it higher, please. I would be in a similar situation, and if some callow idiot had no good reason to not let me skate to my comfort ability, I take it to the top. Do this for our generation. Thanks.

He's really not that bad a guy and I don't want to cause him any real problems. It just frustrated me for as long as he's known me and knowing my medical condition he wouldn't or couldn't make exception to accommodate a disabled person, especially one who's skated there for over sixty years. He said I could buy and use one of those skating "walkers" but there is an issue of my pride and dignity as well. I just want to try and resume my life the way it was the best I can!
My gratitude to my fellow forum member's who see this my way.

I am sure she could take a few minutes of her precious time to inform the rink manager with that looks to kill stare of hers when pizzed that he should reconsider his actions.

It is amusing to imagine the scenario you described but I would never try to bring her into this.

We were missing one of our best players last season due to the Olympics. Looking forward to seeing Emma Maltais on the ice with the Buckeyes this season!
 
Well I missed Ohio State's goal, the stream cut out for several minutes.
OSU had a PP but it looked awfully sloppy to me but no worry, it's the first PP in the first game of the season. I'm sure it will firm up! Ohio State did keep the puck in the Mavericks end of the ice for the majority of the period and we're tied 1-1 after one period.
