Ohio State 2025-26 Revenge Tour 2.0

I got it from the horses mouth on what I believed all along about Simma PS goal.
It changes nothing but gives me some peace of mind that I was right. Nuff said, time to put it behind us and look forward to next season payback.

Play on your own thread if you want to troll, you have NO idea what I was told and by who
Well that is because you haven't shared it. All you offered was some self-important cryptic nonsense. Another anonymous scout? We'll never know I guess.

Last week I chatted with a buddy that is an NCAA official. He skated games involving both of these teams this year (including the Wrigley game). He said it was a good goal. I'll put my horse up against yours any day.

Several of the other Ohio State fans on forum and myself had a bet on who would be the first to troll my comment and congratulations, you won! However you busted all our brackets because you aren't the one we unanimously picked to be first! 😆😆😛

During the Blue Jackets pregame show the other night they were showing the clip of the WI player skating into the OSU goalie after the puck was covered. Then, the puck comes out. Should have been a penalty on WI. No penalty shot. WI would have still had the advantage due to the OSU player allegedly coving the puck. Diry, dirty ending. I'm with you Hockeybuckeye and Buck fans. It's over WI won a dirty title. Going to make a very, very interesting first game next year.

I was at the game, and had an excellent view of Ohio State end. The crowd was mostly Wisconsin fans, as you could imagine. I had no horse in the race and was there to watch some good hockey. Ohio State really came out and took it to Wisconsin from the start. The story of the game was not in the bits and pieces at the end that are being argued over. The story should be that Wisconsin as a team never gave up, and believed in themselves to the end.
There was nervousness, and even panic among the Ohio State backers however, as the clock wound down, and the pressure built. I won't second guess the referees on the ice at the time. What I will say is that the pressure got to the Buckeyes, (I won't use the "c" word here), and the better team won.
I would have been happy to celebrate a Buckeye victory, but here we are. Live with the result, and do better next season.

How many players on the roster have used up all their eligibility?
If I'm not making any mistakes counting, etc., there are seven players from the 2024-25 roster who have used up their eligibility - Webster, Buglioni, Zanon, Brengman, Wheeler, Zumwinkle, and Thiele. And there are two who have entered the portal - Josie St Martin and back-up goalie Secreto. That means nine total from the 2024-25 roster of 22 players.

There is an impressive list of seven incoming freshmen, plus a transfer from Colgate, Malachino.

Nine leaving and eight joining a roster of 22 means right now a roster of only 21: eight defense, 11 forwards, and two goalies. At least one fewer forward and goalie from what a 'normal' roster would look like (though one more forward than they carried in 24-25).

You know Ludwig or Kaehler? If they say the goal was good, then that puts this in a whole other light. 🤣

As that game wound down, it really was as you say. I was listening to the sinner radio broadcasters and it just seemed like they had a belief that the sinners were going to find a way to win. Turns out they were right. No sugar coating it, slOwSU choked down the stretch. All the excuses in the world won't change that perception for me and I would bet a majority of non yuckeye posters thought slOwSU actions in the last few minutes contributed as much to the game being tied at the end of the 3rd period as compared to supposed bad calls against the yuckeyes. And even with the game tied, there still was overtime, Suck it up and go score the overtime winner, An ACHA coach of the year would have led them to that victory right? Oh wait...that IS what happened.

I think Buckeye fans - and everyone else - should think about the last minutes of that game every day from now til September. Go over and over the 'too many skaters' penalty, and Wheeler "gathering the puck to her body" in the crease, and Simms' penalty shot goal, and her OT goal. Pull up the video of it all, to watch again and again. See Laila Edwards pointing and telling the ref about Wheeler's infraction, and Lacey Eden in place for a tap-in that Wheeler denies her. See MJ saying "who wants it?", and Simms raising her hand. The reactions of the Buckeye players when Simms scores the game-winner. Relive those minutes, and feel those feelings all over again.

:)
