The officiating was so bad it would make an outhouse smell like roses! We started slow first period but they kept giving Miami undeserved penalties and they were nailing PP goals.
Jardine got ejected for a hit to the head which I saw so clearly I'd would testify in court on that it was shoulder to shoulder with no contact to the head whatsoever and after the game Sam confirmed it. Then DaSilva got ejected for a hit from behind that was a dive by Miami. If Miami was deserving of winning anything tonight it would have been Oscars for acting!
Shortened bench, having to go short shifts and not being able to keep the matchups we wanted out on the ice totally scr*wed us.
The worst part is just when you think Miami fans can't go any lower in rude & obnoxious they prove you wrong.

Miami fans are the worst. Obnoxious, arrogant and apparently only know one cheer.

Sounds like by your account that your boys were just slower in general if they had to wind up with hits to the head and behind. It's cool man, you can still be the second best team in the state. Findlay already folded.

You may think I'm one to talk but the ugly truth for you is BG hockey has more National Championships than Miami! LOL!
They weren't the chokers & jokers Miami was in their title chance!

A couple of Miami fans were looking at the BG trophy case and I thought to point out the national championship trophy or the two Hobey Baker trophies to them, but I didn't want them to feel bad for choking their title chance away. I also was too much of a good host and sport to treat them rudely. Miami fans are getting almost as bad as Michigan fans are. I will look forward to our home and home series with Ohio State in November. Go Falcons!

You know how in Columbus we have a saying about Michigan, North until you smell it then west until you step in it?
We've come to realize when Ann Arbor flushes it all runs downhill into Oxford! LOL!

Hey very delayed response but I wanted to thank everyone for the advice on my first Buckeye game against Providence (Saturday). I went to Thurman's Cafe and the burgers there are indeed phenomenal. I was also able to check out North High Brewing. Thats a hell of a spot. Great local beer I'd recommend to anyone. The result wasn't there but the last period was entertaining. Not a bad arena, but I agree that a hockey specific arena would do wonders for the atmosphere. Nothing against the fans but that's way too big of a building to fill. Overall a pretty fun experience. Thanks Ohio!

You're welcome. With the split it wasn't a complete disappointment for you.
Too early in the season for attendance to be up but we'll seat over 10,000 for some of the games and it HAS been sold out in the beginning in that building's inaugural season setting the NCAA college hockey indoor attendance record for an on campus venue, meaning playing at an NHL arena doesn't count.

Getting back to old times? I see OSU got a commit yesterday from Austin Pooley, Perry's son, Paul's nephew. Currently playing for Fargo in the USHL. Be nice to see that name on the back of an OSU sweater again.:)

Bucks got a tie and a win on the road at Canisius, not bad against a decent Canisius team that was opening up a new building in Buffalo. After a 3-3 tie on Friday night, the Bucks defeated the Griffins 4-1 Saturday.
