Official Watch 12 Year Olds Cry- LLWS 2012

Re: Official Watch 12 Year Olds Cry- LLWS 2012

I saw this last night, and I just saw it again. I swear, this kid from S. California looks like a girl.

Czech Republic actually has a girl.

They're playing Japan today, and if it's anything like history has shown, Japan could put up 20 while the Czechs rack up about 7 errors.

Re: Official Watch 12 Year Olds Cry- LLWS 2012

Turns out that girl is actually one of the top softball players in the Czech Republic, but decided to play baseball this year instead of join a national team for an All-Europe softball tournament.

The Czechs and Canadians had two scoring plays reviewed yesterday. What is this the World Junior Hockey Championships?

Re: Official Watch 12 Year Olds Cry- LLWS 2012

Buccigros has had a couple good tweets about the Czechs.

Japan 7, Czech Republic 3 at Little League World Series. Then they played street hockey in the parking lot and Czech Republic won 105-3

Czech Little League team hoping to play Canada in street hockey game but Canada has no goalie & won't let kid from another country play

Japan and Taiwan are on now. Great game last year, I think it was 1-0 in 9 innings. But Japan is already up 1-0 in the 2nd and getting to the Taiwanese pitchers pretty easily.

Panama is about to get ugly on Canada. It's 3-0 in the 2nd and they're just getting warmed up.

"We're getting shelled right now, so if you could stop the bleeding, that would be wonderful"

Outstanding.

9-0 Panama, 3rd inning.

LLWS finals:

International: Japan vs. Mexico
USA: Chula Vista, CA vs. Westport, CT

Re: Official Watch 12 Year Olds Cry- LLWS 2012

Gotta love commercials in mid-pitch. I'm going to find the twatwaffle who did this and hit him with a shovel.

Re: Official Watch 12 Year Olds Cry- LLWS 2012

Get the cameras ready. Japan just hit a bomb in the top of the 6th to go up 3-2. Sobbing should commence soon.

Re: Official Watch 12 Year Olds Cry- LLWS 2012

Was there any sobbing? I missed the final out.

I've noticed the international teams don't seem to cry too often, it's much more likely for it to be the Americans doing the crying.

Re: Official Watch 12 Year Olds Cry- LLWS 2012

Not much, actually.

If I had to guess, only Chula Vista stands in the way of another Japan rout in the final.

Re: Official Watch 12 Year Olds Cry- LLWS 2012

Connecticut is completely out of it mentally. That'll happen when it gets to 10-1.

Re: Official Watch 12 Year Olds Cry- LLWS 2012

Chula Vista's best hitter just got earholed. I mean, smoked. He's up and went to 1st base, but you don't want to see that happen.

2-0 Cali, 1st inning.

UPDATE: Kid appears to be okay, as he's playing 1B in the bottom half of the inning.

Not looking good for Chula Vista. Bad base running cost them a big inning. Now Japan homers to tie it.

Re: Official Watch 12 Year Olds Cry- LLWS 2012

That might be the clincher. But this game really turned early on, when CV's #5 hitter took one right above the ear in the 1st inning. It was 2-0, a couple guys on, and California could have put up a 5-spot quite easily. You could see it in the body language for about 2-3 innings, until they took the 4-2 lead.

EDIT: Game ending double play. Championship, Japan.
