Re: Official Video Games Thread VI: Somebody set us up the bomb
I am playing on 360, but the issues I listed are on all systems, PC included. I am near the end of Act I on my second playthrough, this time as a mage. I recruited Isabella but I haven't used her yet for fear of the attack speed bug (her friendship buff is 5% atk spd, but it calculates wrong when she leaves the group so you end up losing 5% over and over again and it stacks till you can't ever attack). Bioware posted on one of their forums they are currently testing a fix. I am hopeful that patch fixes most of the issues.
I am playing on 'casual' setting this time through so I can get the missing achievements. Mage's are very OP on this setting. I kill large groups of enemies in two casts.
I'm not playing the Facebook game for enjoyment. I guess it's alright. But it has the standard Facebook game problems. It limits what you can do by time and the only way to play faster is to pay for it. Which i have no intention of doing. What system are you playing it on? I have it on 360 and so far I haven't noticed any bugs to speak of. Granted, I'm probably only about halfway through, but so far it all seems to be working fine.
I wasn't sure what to think of it at first, but after opening up all of Kirkwall, it's been great. Only "complaint" I might have is that I'm not really sure what's going on as far as the greater story as a whole. In DAO, after you become a Grey Warden, it's pretty obvious what you're trying to accomplish in the grand scheme of things. In DA2, I have an inkling, but if they've been building up to it, it's pretty subtle. That, and the elves look kinda funky in this one
Is the Facebook game worth it? I've never been much for games on Faceook, but I really like the Dragon Age series, so I might be willing to give it a shot. Is it much of a time sink?
