Its official on the Donovan signing with the Islanders. ATO for the rest of this season and will play in Bridgeport and 2-year deal starting next season. Good luck to Matt.

Paul Thompson (SR-UNH) signs with Pittsburgh, will play for Wilkes-Barre (AHL).
Cam Atkinson (JR-BC) signs with Columbus, will play for Springfield (AHL).
Francois Brisebois (SR-Colgate) signs with Binghamton (AHL).
Tommy Grant (SR-Alaska Anchorage) signs with Connecticut (AHL).
Jay Barriball (SR-Minnesota) signs with Peoria (AHL).
Evan Stephens (SR-Dartmouth) signs with Florida (ECHL).
Matt Cowie (SR-Lake Superior State) signs with Victoria (ECHL).
Bryant Molle (SR-Alaska) signs with Alaska (ECHL).
Tyson Hobbins (Lake Superior State) signs with Idaho (ECHL).

Tommy Grant has now signed a two year deal with the Rangers, but will be playing for their affiliate.

Stephen Schultz (CC) signed with the Texas Stars a couple of days ago and made his debut last night. He is now playing with former teammates Richard Bachman and Scott McCulloch.

Pat Cannone (Sr - Miami) signed with the Senators organization, playing for Binghamton (AHL)

Mike Garman (JR - Cornell) is not returning next year, but hasn't signed with anyone. He is close to having enough hours to graduate, and decided not to stay next season.

I'm starting to see why the suggestion to merge DI college hockey with professional farm-team hockey was met with such outrage on this site. Sorry.
I did not realize the outraged replies were in response to a fait accompli rather than an innocent suggestion.

as much as it pains me, collegehockeynews is really the only site for breaking news like early departures.
