Official Pro Signee Thread

It's that time of year again, as teams are getting knocked out and players are putting their pens to professional contracts. Today, we've had our first two signings, as Eric Baier (Providence) and Denny Urban (Robert Morris) have signed with Reading of the ECHL.

Actually not the first, Matt Baxter (UAH) signed with Reading last Tuesday.

edit: Matt completed senior season, no eligibility

It would be ideal if people would note the players class/eligiblity.

Don't be surprised to see some Niagara players sign. I guess there were some pro reps at the game vs. Canisius on Saturday.

Re: Official Pro Signee Thread

Not always the greatest resource when it comes to college hockey news but Hockey's Future has a list of 10 that are garnering NHL interest. http://www.hockeysfuture.com/articles/12872/ten_collegians_drawing_nhl_free_agent_interest/

Mixture of Seniors and underclassmen. Topping the list is DaCosta of Merrimack!

"The following group of non-draft eligible players, listed alphabetically by last name, is comprised of six forwards, two defensemen and two goaltenders. It is important to note here that this is not a ranking."

Just saying..... Da Costa is one of the prized prospect, but he is listed first for other reasons.

Brian Burke, President and General Manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs, announced Tuesday that the hockey club has signed defenceman Jake Gardiner to a three-year entry level contract. Gardiner will report to the American Hockey League’s Toronto Marlies for the remainder of the season.
