picture quality and feed were excellent. Choppyness was gone completely. image was no longer grainy.

watched on my laptop, 8 Core 4th generation i7 processor, 8 gigs of ram streaming on Comcast 25 mb/s.

As a neutral fan, I watched for a while, but the game wasn't too compelling - I moved on to other games.

I got good resolution on my macbaook pro.

My main criticism of the production (and again this is from the viewpoint of somebody who isn't an Oswego fan) is that the production is a bit pretentious and self-important. I do know that this is a student production and the guys are learning, but I'd kind of like to see people being themselves instead of playing the roles of HNIC commentators. I don't really like the "stand ups". All in all, however, it's a good production.

One of the best broadcast experiences I've ever watched quality wise(the game was another matter :-( )

Great quality video, replays and multiple cameras. A little over the top with the hometown bias from the broadcast crew.

On the other hand I was annoyed by the quality of the Brockport broadcast. They have great quality video, but the announcer has an annoying habit of turning off the sound between plays. And the camera man missed much of the action as he couldn't follow the play.

Having said my piece, I am extremely grateful to be able to watch a d3 hockey game from my couch thousands of miles away regardless of the quality. Having said my piece, I am extremely grateful to be able to watch a d3 hockey game from my couch thousands of miles away regardless of the quality.

Being a voluntary exile from (a d3hockey expat, as it were) Vermont, I totally agree. I spend lots of time on Friday afternoons (here) and most of the day Saturday flipping from free game to free game to get a sense of what is going on in d3hockey. (The flipping never happens when Norwich is playing and there's a good video feed, though. When that happens I take out the HDMI cable and put the whole thing up on my Samsung in the living room and sit back as though I were back in VT watching Hockey Night in Canada on a Saturday night on Trans-video Cable.) My wife is good enough to indulge my addiction to hockey. She'll even watch Avs games on TV with me sometimes.

Multi lap tops are a must lol its normally 4-6 games up and going at a time with another 4-6 Livestats on the side. A far cry from the old d3 cellphone network or the Maine3 board.

Thanks for the feedback everyone - the production team does read this board so your feedback is helpful - and they appreciate it...always taken as constructive...technical changes have greatly improved quality and reliability...but the kids tell me they are not done....Whiteout weekend is WTOP's StanleyCup/SuperBowl/WorldSeries/Olympics/WorldCup...they have big plans.

Wasn't able to watch the game for I had to work the SUNY Canton game last night. It is to bad the Elmira isn't the gold standard in the ECAC West anymore for they seem to have issues. But still the Elmira game was still a good test. It looks like the Lakers needs some work on the specialty teams. With the goal tending, let Gilbert go in net until something terrible happens and lets see how he handles adversity. The 2 questions I have for those who saw the game is how did the team chemistry look and how was the hustle factor?

i agree,I think coach will go with Gilbert until a big breakdown,unless something in practice or off ice changes things,he will try the other 2 netminders here and there and see what they have in game situations when possible.Elmira has seemed to slip lately,but i am sure they will be back sooner than later

Cant really comment on the game as i only watched the 1st period which looked pretty good expect for the g-d awful faceoff play when they scored....TAKE THE BODY ,try that vs Genny next week and their new stud Collins will burn us all night long.The all freshman line is killer for sure they will be a force to be recon with if they are not already..The crowd looked good as well,after that I defer the all others for info on the game...The highlights posted were OK, those at TOP and NYO need to consult with Mike to take their game up a notch,but thanks for the effort.

Ill be captain obvious,this coming weekend is HUGE for our team,they will get a big wake up walking in the Ira friday night vs a Genny team that has a ton of new talent,as stated b4 if you watch Collins skate with the puck he will kill us,he should be HAMMERED every time he touches the puck,perhaps put Badham on him every time he leaves the bench or the lockeroom or bathroom,ask Remy he is that good. Their goalies are suspect,and their D can be beaten but they have some good forwards for sure and a few offensive dmen as well...They will have a sellout crowd that is very vocal,should be a great environment for the new guys to experience,i remember playing in that place it gets loud and there are banners everywhere as well.Then they head to Bport sat night,as we now know,they beat Elmira fri night ,then tied Hobart at Hobart in the Cooler,ow how the mighty west has fallen...Is that a trap game?? Not sure,they are a good team i watched the game vs Elmira,they hustle and hit and have some talent also some pretty good netminding..Interesting weekend to come for sure,Yes Gilbert will start vs Genny........but will he finish the game?? discuss.......p.s. It seems the Ice Knights may have trouble staying out of the box this young season. (Dont know if this is attributed to one bad game or what).

I saw Genny play Potsdam 2 weeks ago and they didn't really impress me. Vit was a non factor but their goalie played very well. They were much more composed than the Bears were. There was a big difference in the talent and speed level betweent eh 2 teams. The Genny game will be the best team the Lakers will have played so far this young season.
If the Freshmen line ends up like the Diaper dandies of Green, Starker, and Freeburg of 86/87 we will have some great hockey to watch for the next 4 years. Lets only hope.

My only issue with Gilbert is that it seems like he lets A LOT of pucks just bounce off him. Sure, he makes the save, but he gives the opponent a lot of rebound chances. Giving up 2 power play goals in about 90 seconds was not good. It's never easy to face a 5 on 3, but that's the time to step up. These guys are all young, and I think Gilbert will get better as the season goes on.

It seems the Ice Knights may have trouble staying out of the box this young season. (Dont know if this is attributed to one bad game or what).
We capitalize on the PP early and often. Lets hope the Tues night fight with Adrian gives them tired legs come Friday. Too bad we don't have the Sat. Game. Contain the fast kid.

well I am pretty sure their captain Schell will take 1 or 2 penalties as he does every year it seems,usually a slash ... The PP from what I have seen controls the puck well, but need to get more movement and crash the net,and when the all frshmen PP we use hit the ice they must watch for the shorty against them.....quick check shows Schell with a slash/game miscounduct cross check, boarding,tripping against Oswego the last few yrs, so yea we will get a PP or 2 out of him,very dirty player......in Plattys win vs Genny, they went 2 for 6 on the PP, while Genny went 0 for 6,game changer for sure

Agree,he also seems to have a lot of extra movement in and around the crease,gets caught out of position,I think he needs to calm his game down and will be much better than he is now,I am hoping that comes with playing time and he gets more relaxed and doesnt think he has to go crazy making saves,which will help with rebound control.I do like the way he plays the puck,but hope he doesnt get caught when it really counts...I think he will play great Friday night...yes he will finish the game

only if we were up by 2 or 3...smart hockey...hes just not a clean player from what I have seen....I also question him being made team captain with all those penalties yr in and out????????????
