Official NCAA ESPN "syndicated" game thread

Re: Official NCAA ESPN "syndicated" game thread

Good news regarding FSN north:

The games will have no territorial restrictions this year as per our agreement with ESPN syndication. Anyone with direct or dish will be able to see the games this year.
I wonder if this will trickle down to FS WI, since it is programmed out of Minny by FSN North, if I remember correctly. Perhaps UMass-Lowell-WI will show up on the alternate FS WI channel. I hope anyway. I'm weighing the options of watching the digital subchannel TVW with unproven rabbit ears or staying at work for a smooth ESPN3 stream.

Re: Official NCAA ESPN "syndicated" game thread

The games in question are only the 2 Midwest regional Saturday games

I see no listing for anything specific to the Wisconsin feed, so you should be all set to get the college hockey on Saturday

On Friday, fsnorth did not acquire the Wisconsin-Lowell contest

AHEM. I will defend Jenny Taft, kind of former/current FSN Girl (she's expanded her role a little; still deals with social media aspect however). She did the Red Bull Crashed Ice, played sports at BU, and her brother plays for CC. She knows her sh*.

She is from Edina, what more do you need? ;)

She played varsity hockey and lacrosse at Edina and lacrosse for BU.

Re: Official NCAA ESPN "syndicated" game thread

Since new rules were instituted last August for espn3/watchespn, normally events on ESPN/espn2/ESPNU are not available on your computer/laptop unless you can verify that you subscribe to these channels via a cable company/sat provider etc

I noticed this afternoon that the minny/Yale game does NOT require this authorization, which is a bonus.......

Edit, this was due to the fact that it was an afternoon event, the evening game requires the standard authorization

I have to say that I was impressed with the quality of espn3
It looked great even on my big screen

blacked out in walpole, MA too

is this game on some local tv channel we don't know about???

Re: Official NCAA ESPN "syndicated" game thread

Anyone else having issues getting the notre dame/scsu game on espn3?

Yep. I'm in Madison, WI, and the game isn't on any local networks, whether Fox Sports (primary or alternate) or an over the air network. Last night's Denver-UNH game streamed fine, and that was on ESPNU as well as ESPN3!

Re: Official NCAA ESPN "syndicated" game thread

I'm really grateful that I'm getting to watch college hockey all day today, but I'm getting SICK  of that dork on the "MyCleanPC.com" ad; Blondie should tell him to fugg off. As for the new NCAA promos, they're even dumber than the "300,00 athlete going pro in something other than sports" spots, if that's possible. I guess we see what kind of viewership they're getting when we see ads for vacuum cleaners for removing ear wax.

Re: Official NCAA ESPN "syndicated" game thread

I see that it was "intern weekend" at ESPN,
Especially blacking out espn3 for 10 minutes of the 1st period for the nd/scsu game and 5 minutes for Miami/Mankato

FAIL
