Official 2012-13 Miami Season Thread: Baby boom!

Re: Official 2012-13 Miami Season Thread: Baby boom!

I doubt it too, but wouldnt mind a sunday night game at UAF then a dead tired team traveling to oxford :)

I would greatly prefer to see Spartans or Falcons rather than Lakers or Wildcats in Oxford next weekend.

Usually couldn't care less about the CCHA Awards, but if (when) Riley wins Rookie of the Year, he will actually be the first RedHawk/Skin to do so. Kinda cool.

Another "Can I please have the Big 10 job?" article from Paula today. A pages-long manifesto about how UM apparently has their **** together with a few other mentions of other action around the conference. Thank god we only have to put up with her for one more article (I think).

What are our thoughts on the CCHA awards?
I know Czarnik is an extremely dynamic player, but I don't know if he will garner the respect in order to win POY. For ROY I think it would be a shocker if Barber didn't come out with it. Trouba is a solid player, but his team's lackluster season to date might hold him back. Rico definitely did a great job molding this youth-heavy team this year and I wouldn't be surprised if he claims the COY.

Re: Official 2012-13 Miami Season Thread: Baby boom!

The noms, my uneducated guesses:

Czarnik/Jelly/Lee- PoTY
Rico/Murray/Osecki - CoTY
Barber/Hildebrand/Trouba - RoTY
Caito/Morrison/Trouba - ODoTY
Spinell/DeKeyser/Shea - DDoTY
Czarnik/Lee/Walters - DFoTY

Coin flip between Lee and Czarnik for PoTY with DFoTY going to the other as a consolation prize.

Against the pre-season coaches poll.

Rico +3
Osiecki +2
Murray -

Hard to see it going in any other direction. Good season for Murray, but <--M-- finished right where expected.

I'm pretty excited for tonight, but at the same time I'm a bit nervous just because we are at the point in the season where there is no tolerance for "just coming out flat".

Do you guys think it's going to be the Ryan McKay show from now on?

Re: Official 2012-13 Miami Season Thread: Baby boom!

Yea, I think after the last series where McKay played both nights, it's his show now.
