A lot of the balcony likely is sold out to season ticket holders and student tickets... I'm pretty sure most of the BU student tix were picked up as well.. and if they couldn't get any, I'm sure they bought balcony as well... if we sold out for Bentley... I'm sure BU will be over-capacity.

With the changes made over the summer at Matthews, the balconey has become all season ticket holder, except for the ends behind the goals which is all students.

At least that is front row balconey, feel free to sit starting in the 2nd row. And i can say this, if you attempt to sit up in the first row, you will encounter angry season ticket holders who will look to boot you quite quickly. Its become an issue as people who now sit in the front row got booted from sitting downstairs, and are going to be pretty surly about guarding their new turf especially when a Comm Ave team comes to the old barn.

That goes for students and visiting teams fans alike.

Should be an interesting game on Friday, one team that cannot score and plays ok defense, against another team that can kinda score, but is also playing ok defense.

Feel free to guess which team is which.

Well both teams have been expectedly and unexpectedly mediocre so far this season. On that note, I have no clue what the hell is going to happen.

Well.. hope the bye week served/continues to serve the team well. Its BU friday then off to BC on Saturday. Though we played BC well the entire season last yr.. they got the better of us last outing at Conte.

I had a chance to catch the BC-Mack gm Sunday.. BC is so fast. I'd like to get the 'W' at home, and i hope we do better than we did the last time at Conte Forum. Talking about fast.. Merrimack has this new kid DaCosta.. i think he's either French Canadian or from France proper.. nevertheless.. the kid is a super find.. great skater (just like Vrolyk for NU). Watch him when they come play us in December. He can light it up.. great find for them & i'm happy for Mack..

Now - i just want a great wknd of hockey for NU. Go Huskies!!! Let's make some noise this weekend :)

NU can keep up with BC. I dont worry about fast fowards anymore, not with the wheels we have.

I am more interested to see if this NU team took the bye week to get lines clicking. Its not at the point yet, but we are getting to the point where you would like to start to set some of these lines down and stick with them for a few games. McNeely, first line or third line for instance?

I agree with you Huskies01.. we have the speed, no question. Mine was just an independent observation of BC from what i saw Sunday.

Husky fans.. from the 2 gms we play this wknd.. which one do you think will be closer (score wise)..? I'm going with Friday's matchup against BU as being a close gm with scrappy battles & hard fought goals. Just a guess/hunch whatever you call it.

I think Saturday's matchup with BC will not be as close. Either team will win by a couple or more goals.. i give the edge to the Eagles mainly because Muse (even with his up & down play), has more experience than Rawlings.. just part of the learning curve & of course their home advantage.

The Huskies have surprised me at Conte forum (barring last outing), on more than one occassion. I don't think it'll happen this weekend but here's wishing otherwise.

The fact that all three teams have not been playing up to the standard that everyone expected, the fact that all three cannot score goals right now, I think both games will be close, and if thats the case, I have issues seeing NU pull out 2-1 games right now because we have the frosh in goal.

This will not be a tie gm like the previous two times these 2 met.. close gm, but i do not forsee a tie.. (on another note..where's our BC gm thread?)..

Anyone else notice on the game notes http://www.gonu.com/mhockey/2010/notes.pdf they have NU's logo as the one from the 3rd jersey?

Interesting...I know we wore the alternates for both away games last weekend, which is nice because they make a pretty sweet away jersey. Seems like they are trying to work that logo into the mix more. No complaints here.

Expected a wait to pick up tickets today but not an hour and a half wait. Good for the freshman I guess...hopefully they will be as excited for the game as they were to get tickets

not too many. they said they would hold 500 for friday at the arena. it also looked like they were going to give out wristbands to people who were in line but weren't able to get tickets today.
