Re: Obama XVIII : Now with 100% more Gov't sponsored starvation

I love how I divorced myself from the Evolution discussion and it still got nowhere.

Re: Obama XVIII : Now with 100% more Gov't sponsored starvation

Chuck Todd is reporting (tweeting?) that a tax cuts deal is very very close, and may even include a payroll tax holiday.

Re: Obama XVIII : Now with 100% more Gov't sponsored starvation

I'll post this again Bob, without using words or phrases that could upset you:

If you want to read about current views on the evolution behind different cells types/organ systems, you can read this paper: http://www.nature.com/nrg/journal/v9/n11/full/nrg2416.html If you can't access it, I'll send you the pdf. I'm interested in knowing where you find fault in the science.

Re: Obama XVIII : Now with 100% more Gov't sponsored starvation

You'll have to send or post the pdf since you have to log in or make an account to see the full article.

Here you go Bob (and anyone else): http://www.divshare.com/download/13427550-65b

Not claiming it as absolute proof, but just showing that there are ways that these 'impossible' events could have happened naturally.
It'd probably be easier if he had come up with something specific rather than having to cover EVERYTHING to refute his "point". If he even bothers to respond he'll just move the goal post.

I find the discussion interesting...but don't see there being any likelihood of changing opinion based on this line.

The rationale behind those who believe in Creationism or ID is not based on archeological or genetic data...but rather on a type of logic and faith. Presenting even more scientific data is not likley to push the debate any further as you'd be talking right past them.

It's been a few weeks ... how about a nice, rationale discussion about abortion.;)

Duh. When someone believes, they believe, no amount of discussion on here is going to make any difference

That's true. Since you can believe in God and include scientific theory of evolution. I believe in God > God created the universe and universal law > evolution is directed (or not directed) by god.

I think the basic problem is when you try to throw out the scientific theory of evolution with "theory" of complexity (irreducible, unfathomable, unknowable, incompatible) or want to include this unscientific "theory" in the classroom.

I say include it in the classroom to show the difference. especially ID with the superior alien or supernatural intelligent designer. And we laugh about witchcraft or voodoo practices of some politicians and spouses.

Another oldie but goody. We made money with TARP (lets ignore toxic asset bough by Fed and the government guarantees).
so citi at $5 x 2.4billion shares = $12billion or so "profit".
wow lets do more TARP to create jobs and make money for taxpayers.
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/Govt-plans-to-sell-24B-shares-apf-775287489.html?x=0
When that $3.6 billion is added to the $42.8 billion that Treasury has announced receiving, it brings the total return to the government to $46.4 billion. That means the government is now in the black on the $45 billion in support provided to Citi from the $700 billion Troubled Asset Relief Program.

The ultimate earnings for taxpayers will rise further when the sales of the final 2.4 billion shares of Citigroup common stock are included.

I'm glad you're finally admitting it.

I never understood the obsession with the catholic church... I mean, they have so much pull over what you do nowadays... wait, no they don't. I swear, most people are living out of imagining some sort of 1950s neitherworld that doesn't really exist.

Re: Obama XVIII : Now with 100% more Gov't sponsored starvation

Speaking about things that don't really exist... fraud enabled by Barack Obama this wednesday...

http://biggovernment.com/jdismuke/2...s-the-whistle-on-the-black-farmer-settlement/

running theme: More claimants than black farmers in the US... each claimant getting 50K.

edit: It can be argued that Obama is about to sign a bill where there is an understanding of current and ongoing massive fraud.... and to think, we wouldn't have known this had the white house had not jumped the gun in firing Shirley Sherrod and instead let the NAACP take their beating on the racism issue.

edit #2: lets look at the date on this one... 2001

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,29321,00.html

yup, allegations of fraud even to back then... interesting times we're living in.

I take the easy way out when it comes to creationism/evolution. I believe God started it all, gave the evolutionary snowball the proverbial kick down the mountainside and tada! We're here!
