One of our better played games of the year -really tough to lose by giving up a goal like the last one NE scored. That one just has to be stopped.

The replay showed it was just shot in a perfect place that not many NHL goaltenders would stop.
RPI had their chances. Let’s see how they do in Boston on Sunday.

I had the game on a small TV with the sound down and family over. I couldn’t make out the goal. Did he roof it in the 3 inch gap over Marshall’s shoulder? It looked like he was pinned to the post everywhere else.

That's an easy stop that any goalie makes easily if they're actually in position instead of already down in the butterfly. We were slightly better than Northeastern this game, but the difference is that they have the best goaltender in the country, and we have one who seems better suited as a #2

That is how I saw this game totally. We were as good as one of the better teams in the country and simply gave up that one goal that had to be stopped. yes, it was a perfect shot but still one that either should not have happened (defense needed to never let this fellow get that close) or stopped by the goal tender in a slightly better position to block everything on the short side. Marshall is a very good goalie who often makes stops that you have to wonder how they can possibly be stopped. But every so often, lets one get by him that you would think should be stopped. I must add that other than the two games at Colgate and Cornell, he has been better than I could have expected with an extremely respectable GAA.
