Notre Dame Hockey 2013-2014 Go East young men

Will someone please relay this message to Steven Summerhays: Get your head out of the crotch of your breezers, show up for an entire weekend, play like you give a crap and maybe, just maybe, I won't completely give up on this team.

The thread that pops up for the PC weekend is going to be a ray of **** ing sunshine this year.

That reversal on the tying goal was total ****ing bull****. Brings to mind the David Grimes at Stanford screwjob. The puck beat Herr to the crease initially, and was in the crease when he went in.

Bad Call/plain and simple...not the way this game should have ended...just a sour way to end the game and makes the review really puzzling...what did they actually call...in the crease..? Looked to be a large scrum with no contact to Ouellette and no whistle to stop play.

Player was in the crease before the puck.

player in crease before puck is not a rule anymore unless that player interferes with goalie

hockey east refs will look for any excuse to review a goal/disallow it

It will be interesting to see what they(Hockey East)will come out and say about the call...if they actually do...

This was a tweet that was out there last night

@NDhockeySBT: When contacted by phone after, Hockey East Coordinator of Officials Dan Schachte said he agreed w/referees John Gravallese and Kevin Shea.

This from the Maine camp in the Bangor Daily News.
Maine coach Red Gendron said he thought the referees told him it was disallowed because Ouellette had the puck covered and was he shoved into the net with the puck.

But he also admitted he wasn’t really clued in to their explanation.

“It went our way and I didn’t care why,” said Gendron. “It looked to me like Marty got pushed into the net but I couldn’t see where the puck was.”

“I had the puck covered between my pads and two or three of their guys pushed me into the net. There wasn’t much I could do. I didn’t think it was a good goal. I was hoping it was overturned but you never know,” said Ouellette.

Re: Notre Dame Hockey 2013-2014 Go East young men

Didn't Maine do the same thing at BC a few weeks ago and was awarded a goal?

Re: Notre Dame Hockey 2013-2014 Go East young men

yep...hockey east agreed with that call as well ;)

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe today is the fifth anniversary of the sudden passing of Mike Lockert.

I had the pleasure of getting to know Mike when I subbed for him during the 2006-07 season.
