Palmieri to the box.

Nevermind, no penalty on BU.

Empty net.

I was watching the first half-hour on EspnU before coming to work - have those announcers gotten any better? Seemed like they were fellating BU and Jackie the whole time I was watching...

ESPNU definitely rides the home team on broadcasts.

As I expected, it's going to take us several games to get going. This team is very, very young.

Every single penalty ND killed in the 1st was about Jackson and how good his systems are. They even talked about what a great practice he ran before the regional last year, ignoring what that led to of course. There were stretches of great bias throughout the game.

The actual game was pretty poor from the BU point of view. Some defensive breakdowns and good plays by Notre Dame led to their goals. Congrats to the Irish on the victory, they certainly played like the better team tonight. Hopefully with 4 game under our belt we'll be playing somewhere near that level, but tonight BU seemed to be just a stride off, and tried to be too fancy. The power plays involved too many no-look drop passes until the 3rd period, where I thought they had the better of the play for sure, but Phillips did a very nice job. The first line for BU was shut down pretty effectively, and I think a big guy like Zach Cohen needs to be put on Bonino's wing so he doesn't get double-teamed so easily.
