Had to make a play on the fact it is opening weekend of hunting season in NY ;) Well, opening weekend of deer for rifle anyways.

SLU looks to get revenge tonight after coming up short in the opening game last night. Hopefully our top dogs can get something going, as they have been pretty quiet since the Maine series.

Also, hopefully the crew at Appleton has the video feed working from the opening faceoff tonight.

G. Carey with a bonehead interference penalty. Northeastern got under his skin that shift with some jawing after whistles and whatnot. It worked.

Greg Carey apparently benched that shift after the penalty, as Woody Hudson was out there with Martin and M. Carey.

Another SLU goal! Announced as G. Carey from Baker and Wick, SLU remains on the PP for 1:15!

Muskieman was just mentioned on the broadcast for his part in giving warm pucks to the officials back in the day ;) Puck seemed to be sticking a bit that last stretch of play.

Shots were 9-5 for SLU that period. SLU 1-2 on the PP, NU 0-2.

Goals: SLU- M. Carey from Hudson and Martin, Baker from Hudson and M. Carey, G. Carey from Baker and Wick.
NU- Reid from Hedges and McMurtry

Another strong 1st period for the Saints. Let's hope we can keep this up throughout the remainder of the game! Any idea what the shot totals were?
