4-0 Northeastern. They score on a 2-on-1 just before the end of the 1st period. Absolutely dominated Notre Dame that period. Now if they learned their lesson from B.C. and Merrimack they understand they have to keep the pedal to the metal.

Can't believe they overturned the call on the ice. I was watching the video, and it looked kicked in, plain as day. Huskies should NOT be down a goal right now.

From what I've seen of the first two periods, Northeastern is outskating, outhustling and outworking the Irish. Rawlings has made some good saves, but hasn't been really tested much. NU's defense is really impressing me. Most of ND's shots are low percentage, poor quality ones, and the few good ones, Rawlings is able to turn aside.
The Husky defense really looks like it's clicking well. They clog up the middle, and force ND wide on almost every up ice rush. That's a huge help when you have a gigantic goalie like Rawlings in net. There just aren't any good angles for the ND players to shoot from going wide.
I'm liking what I'm seeing. This is the first time I've seen NU all year. Good energy level, and some nice passing. They almost scored on a beautiful pass out front towards the end of the second period. If they can keep up this energy level, they will win this battle. All Hail, Northeastern!!
