Hate to start off a new thread with bad news but it looks like Athletic Director Jeff Konya is moving on to San Jose State. Northeastern sports thrived on his watch and the Athletic Department on the whole is in the best shape it has ever been in. Jeff was also a huge friend of hockey, as witness the men's program with three straight Beanpots and a HEA championship while the women are the defending Beanpot and HEA champs and got to OT in the national championship game.

Huge shoes to fill.

Jimmy Madigan is one-of-a-kind. Kudos to the university leadership for dropping the pretense of a national search and doing what needed to be done. NU athletics (not just hockey) is in great hands.
