Northeastern Huskies 2017-18: Every Dog Has its Day

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2017-18: Every Dog Has its Day

thx for posting.
would love to hear a bit about your team (always strong, 2 FFs in last 5 yrs).. if/ when you get a chance.

we'll have our QU preview, with questions answered by QUAlum, within the next day or so

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2017-18: Every Dog Has its Day

I think the Huskies were overconfident going into Rochester but came out with a greater respect for the RIT Tigers and I hope a determination to improve in all areas and a determination to beat the Q this weekend - something they have not been able to do in their last 5 games against the Bobcats. Its time to change that scenario.

Dylan Sikura is 1 point away from 100 in his career. Something to watch this weekend.

Our preview with a Q & A done with the QU Hockey Blog: http://northeasternhockeyblog.com/g...cats-northeastern-huskies-hockey-east-series/

..thx for that. i'm actually hoping ruck starts fri & primeau sat.. he (cayden) is still settling in & would be good for him to watch. take in the stiffer competition & get ready to go sat. ruck, he's already been there. regardless, its all good.

hopefully no slow start fri.. just be ready outta the gate. Go NU

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2017-18: Every Dog Has its Day

Heading to Matthews tonight for the first time this year. Premium seats are now $23...weren't they like $12 a a couple years ago? Oh well, don't mind paying that much for what should be a very good and competitive game. Pumped to watch Solow in person, maybe watch Primeau, see if the defensemen can clean up the turnovers and bad gap play that plagued them up in Rochester, and of course, watch 8, 9 and 21. Hopefully Sikura can get that 100th point out of the way early tonight. I feel like its underplayed the fact that he only had 7 points his freshman year. So he's had 92 points in 2 seasons and 3 games. Absolutely ridiculous.

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2017-18: Every Dog Has its Day

Very good first period. Quinnipiac never really were able to control the puck. We controlled the play, won the 50/50 battles and we're faster.

The bad news was our penalty kill looked awful. You could see our guys talking to each other trying to figure out positioning and Quinnipiac just tore us to shreds. Deserved goal there. Other than that though we've been the better team I thought.

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2017-18: Every Dog Has its Day

Crazy 2nd period. Good chances, more puck possession, but just awful on the penalty kill.

Quinnipiac is getting some dangerous chances, but NU getting more. Pretty exciting game so far.

4-3 NU, get some more! Who needs goaltending when you can score?

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2017-18: Every Dog Has its Day

Leading goal scored with 1.2 seconds left by Sikura. Way to not quit.

Offense and powerplay look really good. Leading SOG 32-9. Penalty kill looks like dog $#!%. Can't fault Primeau on any of the three goals TBH.

Please lock it down. My heart can't take this.

Ruck has taught Primeau everything he knows!
