Northeastern Huskies 2016-17 -- Great Expectations

He played in the first 4 games for CC last season. Then, for whatever reason, he left the team and school, and returned to the USHL. He sat out the rest of the CC season and 4 games of the NU season and paid his debt to the NC$$.

Hey Thx. I just assumed a player had to be enrolled a academic year at new school before eligibility kicked in. Good for NE

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2016-17 -- Great Expectations

Curious, if Cecere played for CC last year, what part of the eligibility rules allows him to play this season.

When Cecere left CC they had the power to deny him entry into certain programs, which they probably did (see Szmatula and any Hockey East school and Denver for more info). When he committed to NU he probably asked for a waiver on the "sit" requirement and either CC did not challenge his waiver request or the NCAA offered some sort of compromise...

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2016-17 -- Great Expectations

Not trolling, dude. It's stupid to look at PWR right now.

well.. he's right. PWR don't matter right now.
The only thing regarding PWR we should be concerned about is our awful out of conference record so far.

That being said, there's a good chance NU won't have to worry about the pwr come March

Same suggestion.

Same suggestion.

So because you said something that is regularly said in jest on this board seriously, and people on the board chose to correct your uninformed opinion, we should all go to the UHN thread to learn about how to read which goalie is better based on warm-ups and how shots on goal are meaningless.

Pairwise in October-December is meaningless. The Ivies haven't even started to play. Most teams are maybe 25-33% through their OOC schedule. Heck some teams (Maine) haven't even been on the road yet.

You said something stupid. People called you out on it. Take your thumb out of your butt and be a man.

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2016-17 -- Great Expectations

Hilarious what uni dimensional thinkers you folks are. You should all call the registrars' office of your respective institutions of higher* learning and apply for tuition refunds. You were all gypped.

The absurdity of the fact that they were ranked #2 BEFORE playing even one game and having lost the core players of the team never occurred to any of you plugs?

Of course not...that would require thinking rather than reacting.

If any of you need anything else explained, e.g. you need to OPEN the door before entering, please...ask someone else...

*"Higher" didn't mean sparking up a bong or three before class...

Your tax dollars paid my tuition, fees, room, board, books, and beer. You should call your State Senator and ask him if it turned out to be a good investment.

Yes it did cross our minds, we just don't always need to browbeat everyone with our opinion so we can derive pleasure in our ability to analyze kids playing a game.

I think you are looking to use i.e. here, not e.g.

*"Higher" didn't mean sparking up a bong or three before class...

No UVM fans have posted here so far as I know

Maybe someday "it" will actually decide to stay awhile rather than simply pass on through.

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2016-17 -- Great Expectations

Someday you are going to get it and when you do hopefully you'll stand up to the lack of respect to the school and program that these actual trolls show...

Now you are starting to **** me off! You clearly don't know who Split-N is or you would not make him the subject of your rudeness. He has followed this hockey program for more than 50 years and has the scars to prove it (as do I). He is a loyal and active alumni whose purpose in posting here is to enlighten other NU fans concerning the progress of the team. What is your purpose in posting??? Your information is good, but your presentation leaves much to be desired.

Here's a suggestion: If you want to discuss this further, come to the game tonight. Visit Sec 8 Row G seat 12. Look for the handsome fellow with the silver (not gray) beard. Perhaps we'll both learn something.
