Really? I tried Denver and NU was out. I will try again. You know that the #16 team is not in.

The only way I get NU in with Denver winning has got Minn State being upset by Bowling Green.

Also, Every scenario I run where NU makes it, I can't find any way that NU isn't in Bridgeport to play Union.

Exactly. I found that with the favs winning (except Colgate), we're in. I hate to say that I am rooting for the favs...

I think if Penn State beats Michigan and losing to Wisconsin then we are almost guaranteed to be in, barring any other crazy outcomes Go Nittany Lions!

The last 3 pages of this thread gave me a headache. For my sanity, I'm going to basically accept that they aren't making the tournament and if a miracle happens I'll celebrate it as such.

My feelings exactly! Going into the last week of the season, the only things we were worried about were which regional site we would draw and who our opponent would be. Now we're grasping at straws.

This team was 3, 6 and 1 over the last 10 games and they don't deserve to make the NCAA tournament, during that span they have played up and down with suspect defense, sporadic offense and average goal tending, with a hapless losses to poor BU and UMASS teams. To have 3 pages of what if scenarios, is a waste of energy! Move on they won 19 games but did not archive one in the 3 major indicators of success, No NCAA bid, No Beanpot, No wins over BU or BC and a major fade down the stretch in true Husky fashion. That's what you should be talking about, not the actuarial probability analysis of our 8% chance to make a tournament that we don't deserve to be in based on our hapless performance during the all important last 1/4 of the season!

...which is why I'm not going to set myself on fire if that 8% chance doesn't work out.

In typical Rossi fashion he sucks all the wind out of our sails. Yes they absolutely struggled down the stretch, but why dos how you play in the final 10 games dictate your season? Its less than 1/3 of it. There record is there record, they are 19-14-4 if that gets them in then good for them. If not then you can look at Air Force, Dartmouth, UMass and BU and really say what if. Hell throw that OT loss at home to BC in there. Every team can look back and say what if we won that game, BC lost to Holy Cross. Throughout the course of a hockey season all teams go threw ups and downs. Lets look at BC they have lost 3 of the last 4. 8% of the potential scenarios include NU in the tournament, they are not far fetched on's which is why I am interested. If you don't care, then pay no attention, we know you are only interested when you can come here and bash the team anyway.

Then feel free to leave the board until next season starts and allow everyone else to speculate a bit.

What was this teams "best" or "signature" win this past season. Which 1 out of the 19 stood out to all of you?

To me, the final Maine game. I always felt a majority of their wins were with them being outplayed, getting lucky.

This one, I felt they played as well as they could, and Maine brought their A game too.

The wins at Lowell and PC were the most surprising and to your point they had no business winning either.

The Friday night win at ND was pretty convincing.
 
This was not a W.. but their Beanpot final against BC was outstanding effort. Of course they had to pull Witt being down with couple left.. but back & forth.. all gm against seasoned opponent.. that was a great game!.. super effort.
