Northeast Regional: #1 BC vs. #4 Alaska, #2 North Dakota vs. #3 Yale

Re: Northeast Regional: #1 BC vs. #4 Alaska, #2 North Dakota vs. #3 Yale

Grand Forks has (2) Perkins' Restaraunts Boston has none...they have to drive to New York for Perkins' coffee.

How you people survive without the basic nessessities like Perkins' coffee in the morning is beyond me.:p Oh wait there are none in California either. Oh crap!!! Guess I'll just have to settle for Denny's.

Ate breakfast at Perkins twice while in Denver earlier this year. Wish we had one!

Newton is ten minutes from Boston. Grand Forks is ten minutes from a Denny's.[/QUOTE

Lays trump card: Yeah, well, you won't find the Red Pepper in Boston or anywhere close. Sure, you can order online, but you can't walk in and enjoy the same vinyl seat covers that were there when "Inagaddadavida" first came out.

You can have all of them. I've never finished a meal at Perkins and been said to my self "Wow, I'm glad I ate that." You'd get less calories/diarrhea from eating a tub of Crisco

Do they have Dunkin Donuts in North Dakota? That coffee is like crack.

The Yale NDU game will be televised locally in CT on whatever cable outlets that carry MyTV9.

Re: Northeast Regional: #1 BC vs. #4 Alaska, #2 North Dakota vs. #3 Yale

Just a hunch, but since the game is in Worcester, I'm guessing there's gonna be some BC fans who care...

Way to bring religion into this.

Even better.

Vermont history
doesn't even compare to
New Hampshire's, chuckle

Alaska a state?
Should be Canadian land
Perfect new province

Way to bring religion into this...?? Simply noting the demographics of Newton, MA. I am sure you have heard the nickname.

Re: Northeast Regional: #1 BC vs. #4 Alaska, #2 North Dakota vs. #3 Yale

Stop arguing about Boston vs North Dakota. Newton is not BOSTON AT ALL!

Closet BU fan? And FYI, Conte Forum and Alumni Stadium are in Brighton (a neighborhood of Boston). About two-thirds of the BC campus is in Newton though, the other third being in Brighton.

Re: Northeast Regional: #1 BC vs. #4 Alaska, #2 North Dakota vs. #3 Yale

Naming the school Boston College is now a marketing strategy. They are lying to you twice. It is NOT in Boston. It is NOT a college (it is a university). It should be called Newton University. That sounds less appealing.

What is there to be confused about? Did you or did you not bring religion into this?

I already know that information. I am from the greater Boston area. So a sporting events taking place in a Boston neighborhood constitutes going to school in Boston now? I am merely saying that people who go to school in Newton, MA are throwing rocks when they live in glass houses when they are saying that North Dakota sucks and/or is boring

Not disputing the marketing fact...interesting....

"Bringing religion into this" is a statement that I believe implies being anti some religion or using it to make something either good or bad. That is not what I am doing. However, if you mean I am mentioning religion then yes I am mentioning religion. Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism.

By the way. "Oh dear LORD". You are indeed bringing religion into this. That is considered offensive to many people.

Well this would hold water if we didn't have students who didn't live in the part of campus that's in Brighton (Lower Campus) but in fact the majority of our sophomores and just about all of our on campus seniors live on Lower Campus, which is technically in Boston. Not to mention, most juniors live off campus at BC, and the most common place for off campus juniors at BC to live is Brighton/Cleveland Circle. Again, your argument would make sense if BC was in Lowell or North Andover and we were claiming that we were in Boston...but it's on the Newton/Boston line.
