Really don't know what to expect besides that Minnesota-Twin Cities is probably the favorite to win it. Either way the nightcap match up between UMTC and SCSU should be a great one.

Wonder what the crowds and atmosphere will be like?

I'm optimistic this could be a fun tournament once it gains some traction. I wonder what trophy they are playing for....

After SCSU's weekend, I'm guessing the Gophers will be looking past them and instead focusing on the championship game...I don't blame them.

Gophers win the tourney out scoring their opponents 23-1.

I think I could have done better than that...I was just lazy. I prefer to call this the "Glorified Two For One Cup" or "Beanpot II" or "The Hotdish".

No, the one goal comes when they go up 15-0 against JBSU and try to do a goalie line change during the play and Shibby can't get there in time.

The Gopher program just needed a nice enema. With a wonderful coach like Don Lucia, all it takes is players that will buy into the system and they can't lose.

Anyone know about how many tickets have been sold so far? Hoping there's a good crowd and a great atmosphere in the building...pretty sure the players and fans from St. Cloud, Duluth and Mankato will come in pretty excited and anxious to show what they can do against the country's No. 1.

Definitely looking forward to the weekend. Took Friday off so I don't have to worry about getting to the X on time for the early game. I expect it'll be 4 good games, regardless of the pairings on Saturday.
